Taking a look around Pinterest and Instagram, it is easy to see that DATT's designs are loved and chosen by many stars, from Ho Ngoc Ha, Thanh Hang, Khanh Linh... the leading fashion icons of Vietnam to famous and influential people in the world such as: Mai Davikah (Thailand), Lisa (Blackpink, Korea), "angel" Elsa Hosk (Sweden), talented singer-songwriter RAYE (UK), Miss Universe 2015 - Pia Wurtzbach (Philippines)...
However, designer Ly Dat Thanh still modestly believes that it is just luck. He said that for any fashion brand, success does not only come from the favor of stars but also ordinary people can shine and be confident when wearing beautiful clothes. However, the fact that a young Vietnamese brand like DATT is chosen many times by celebrities among countless global names brings many advantages. The only thing that can conquer international stars must be the practicality and aesthetics of the design.

As a student of Fashion Design at Van Lang University (HCMC), Ly Dat Thanh's series of graduation designs at school received a "shower" of compliments from teachers and professional judges. However, he soon realized the difference between performance fashion and applied fashion. With a little curiosity, naivety and youthful recklessness, he decided to launch DATT in 2019. What is special is that right from the beginning, despite financial difficulties, with a vision to reach out to the world , all stages from choosing a brand name, building an image, managing the apparatus, designing, making patterns... are all oriented according to international standards. This is also the reason why he chose the middle letter as the brand name, because "it is easy to call, easy to remember and also because DATT's achievements have the contribution of many people".
Difficulties often create motivation. Ly Dat Thanh and DATT took it slow, working and learning at the same time, not only listening but also learning more about the culture, working style, communication, tastes, and aesthetic thinking of global customers to perfect the system. 3 years after its establishment, DATT became one of 2 Vietnamese brands named in the list of 17 local brands that cannot be missed in the Up Next Designer 2022 category of British Vogue. Ly Dat Thanh said that social media has played an important role in creating DATT's success today, thanks to its influence. Interestingly, he is not very active on social media, if not quite quiet. Outside of teaching at school as a guest teacher, he devotes all his creative energy to designs, working diligently from the workshop to the store.
