Today, September 30, in Nghe An province, heavy rain continued to occur over a large area due to the circulation of storm No. 10, causing many villages to be cut off and isolated.
At the flood center of the border area of the old Ky Son district, My Ly commune, there was prolonged heavy rain causing many landslides, cutting off and isolating some villages such as Cha Nga, Hoa Ly, Yen Hoa, Xang Tren, and Xop Duong.

In Chieu Luu commune, the road section over Xieng Thu village's spillway continues to be deeply flooded, cutting off villages in the inner region. In this situation, on the inter-village roads, the authorities are arranging working groups to be on duty, warn of landslides, regulate traffic and guide people to ensure safety according to the development of rain and floods.


In Chieu Luu commune, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Truong - Secretary of the Party Committee said that the road section through the Xieng Thu village spillway bridge continued to be deeply flooded, causing isolation of the inner villages. In addition, on the inter-village roads, working groups were arranged to be on duty, warn of landslides, regulate traffic and guide people to ensure safety according to the development of rain and floods.
Nhon Mai border commune is still experiencing heavy rain, many roads in the area are flooded, eroded and cut off. In particular, National Highway 16 has many landslides, isolating 15/21 villages such as Huoi To 2, Na Kha, Pieng Coc, Na Hang, Pha Khao, Huoi Man, Pha Mut, Huoi Co, Pieng Luong, Phia Oi, Xa Mat, Tan Mai, Na Hy, Na Lot, and Co Ha.
Currently, the entire Luong Minh commune is also temporarily isolated; the Xop Mat - Cham Puong road has landslides in many locations in Dua village, causing traffic jams in 4 inner villages; provincial road 543B also has landslides at Km29+900, Km33+810 and the Tran Cha Luom bridge has high water levels, vehicles cannot pass.
Previously, Luong Minh commune forces had evacuated households to a safe assembly location with a total of 75 households, 339 people from the villages: Ban La, Xop Mat, Minh Phuong, Ban Dua, Minh Tien, Ca Moong, Xop Chao...

The leader of Yen Hoa Commune People's Committee also said that there are currently 18 isolated villages. Previously, storm No. 10 had completely collapsed 7 houses; 103 houses were flooded and 18 villages were completely isolated. In addition, Yen Hoa Secondary School was flooded, water had entered the first floor classrooms. In Yen Hoa Commune, National Highway 48C was flooded at many points. Provincial Road 543B Na Pu overflow was deeply flooded, people could not pass through.
DH 11 route, at Vang Ong spillway, Xop Coc spillway and Vang Mai spillway were also deeply flooded, causing Xop Coc and Tat villages to be cut off. Xieng Lip - Xop Kha route has a spillway that is deeply flooded, has many landslides, Xop Kha village is isolated. Yen Tan - Yen Huong route has Yen Huong spillway with rising water, Yen Huong village is also isolated. Canh Khin village route has Khe Ngau spillway that is flooded, isolating 30 households in Canh Khin village.
Due to rising floodwaters since the night of September 29, by this afternoon more than 500 households of 20/30 hamlets in Bich Hao and Thanh Binh Tho communes were also flooded and isolated.
Faced with the complicated developments of rain and floods, with rivers and streams constantly rising, the Provincial People's Committee and departments as well as local leaders are still closely monitoring weather developments, while directing forces to deploy plans, and be ready with the "4 on-site" motto to ensure timely response and minimize damage.
