Thua Thien Hue successfully promotes investment in many projects in 2024

On December 12, the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Thua Thien Hue province said it had sent a summary report to the Provincial People's Committee on outstanding results in the field of investment promotion and support in 2024.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, Director of the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Thua Thien Hue Province (referred to as the Center) said that regarding the task of the Working Group and urging the commencement of projects, in the past time, the Center has maintained the work of reporting to the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation status of non-budget projects under the Working Group. In addition, in order to promote projects to accelerate the progress of procedures to select investors and projects to accelerate the commencement of construction, the Center has established support groups for 28 projects that can commence in the fourth quarter of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

Accordingly, the Center's specialists assigned to monitor the project are always proactive and accompany investors to carry out administrative procedures to speed up project implementation. As a result, in 2024, the Center has supported a number of projects in the province to start construction, inaugurate and put into operation.

Specifically, in the field of trade - services and tourism , on September 30, 2024, the Hue Amusement & Beach Park (HAB Park) project in Phu Vang district was inaugurated and put into operation phase 1.

This project covers an area of ​​49.5 hectares with a total investment of 1,060.4 billion VND. In phase 1, the project includes the construction of a 120-room hotel; facilities (1 reception hall, 2 swimming pools, 1 restaurant, 1 conference hall, 1 Gym & Spa - wastewater treatment plant).

With the project of International Golf Course, Ancillary Service Area and Resort Villas in Vinh Xuan Commune, Phu Vang District, this project has completed and put into operation phase 1 (including technical infrastructure system and 18-hole golf course in the North) on September 28, 2024. The project has an area of ​​127.68 hectares with a total investment of VND 3,164 billion.

With the Trade and Service Center project in Area A - An Van Duong New Urban Area on the land with the symbol TM-DV7, in Area A - An Van Duong New Urban Area, An Dong Ward, Hue City, this project was also completed and officially put into operation in September 2024. The project has an area of ​​about 86,216m2 with a total minimum investment of 3,916 billion.

In addition to accompanying and supporting completed projects, the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Thua Thien Hue province has also contributed to promoting and supporting investors in completing procedures to start projects.

Accordingly, in June 2024, the Go Huong Tra Supermarket project (Giap Nhat residential group, Huong Van ward, Huong Tra town) started construction in June 2018. The project has an area of ​​5,749.8 m2 and is expected to be completed and opened on December 18, 2024.

In July 2024, the Pham Van Dong Commercial and Tourism Service Complex project in Hue city with an area of ​​2,188 hectares and a total investment of VND 1,247 billion also started construction of the low-rise residential area.

In the education sector, in September 2024, the Education Complex project in Area E - An Van Duong New Urban Area in Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy town (land plot with symbol TH12, belonging to Area E - An Van Duong New Urban Area), with an area of ​​8.68 hectares, total investment: 432.66 billion VND, was started construction.

Regarding the real estate sector, in April 2024, the project of the Eastern Urban Area of ​​Thuy Duong - Thuan An Road in Thuy Thanh Commune, Huong Thuy Town and An Dong Ward - Hue City also started construction. This project has an area of ​​23.53 hectares with a total investment of 1,798 billion VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thao said that in addition to accompanying investors to carry out administrative procedures to speed up project implementation, in 2024, the Center worked with the design unit to build an application to monitor and update 4 working groups using the phone.

“The application named “Hue Investment Care” (HIC) is written specifically for monitoring and managing off-budget projects in Thua Thien Hue province. Through HIC, it will support the monitoring and supervision of the proposed work progress, and also show arising problems for timely handling. Currently, the Center has basically completed the HIC application and is running a demo version. It is expected that in the shortest time, the application will be put into operation to monitor and update 4 working groups,” Ms. Thao added.

According to Ms. Thao, regarding the work of supporting investors in planning and implementing administrative procedures, after the projects have completed the selection of investors, the Center's specialized project monitoring staff will play a supporting role, accompanying investors to directly work with departments, branches, sectors and localities in implementing related administrative procedures such as business registration, land procedures, construction and other administrative procedures to ensure that the procedures are carried out as quickly as possible, and the project operates most smoothly and effectively.

“The center acts as a focal point to support investors in updating planning such as provincial planning, general planning, zoning planning, land use planning, planning of three types of forests, etc. The center's project monitoring staff will work directly with relevant units to update projects in planning lists and maps. Therefore, investors coming to Thua Thien Hue province do not need to go to each agency to request project progress updates, thereby helping investors save time and costs,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thao.
