Many green startup booths converge at 'Startup Fair 2025'

Products are made from coconut fiber.

On September 12, in Ho Chi Minh City, the 2025 Startup Fair continued to take place with the participation of more than 100 booths from all over the country, introducing green, environmentally friendly startup products and ideas.

At the fair, many unique products attracted the attention of visitors. The highlight was pet toys made from coconut fiber by Ms. My Quyen, this idea was born from concerns about plastic toys for dogs and cats. "Toys made from coconut fiber are safe, durable, mold-free, and self-decompose if swallowed by pets. Although the surface is rough, the coconut fiber is soft and elastic, not causing injury. The products are priced from 15,000 VND and will be expanded in design in the near future," Ms. Quyen said.

Meanwhile, Sao Khue Food offers noodles, pasta, and rice straws that are colored entirely from natural vegetable powder, replacing industrial colors. Company representative Thuy Tram shared: “All products are made from 100% natural ingredients. Specifically, purple from purple sweet potatoes, yellow from turmeric, green from spinach…”.

The shirt is made of recycled Polyester, giving the wearer a relaxed feel.

A start-up group made a strong impression when introducing T-shirts made from used plastic bottles. Ms. Tram Anh, representative of the group shared: “We collect plastic bottles, sort them, shred them, and heat-treat them to create recycled polyester fibers. These fibers are then woven into fabric and used to make shirts.”

Another unique project is Viercycle's Vierkit power-assisted toolkit, which can "revive" old bicycles. Ms. Hong Tuyet, group representative, said the idea came from wanting to solve the problem of old bicycles being discarded and help people with weak physical strength move more easily. Users only need to install motor wheels, batteries and sensors on existing bicycles. The bicycle's battery has a durability of 5 years, each full charge can travel 100km at a cost of only about 10,000 VND.

The event, which lasts until September 14, is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship (SIHUB) in collaboration with the Center for Business Research and Enterprise Support (BSA), to create a space to connect the startup ecosystem and spread the spirit of sustainable entrepreneurship.
