Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 with the theme "Returning to the majestic Lai Chau peaks" will take place from November 8 - 10, 2024 in Lai Chau city, with many attractive cultural, tourism and experiential activities.
The highlight is the space to introduce and promote tourism of the 8 expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; outdoor cultural and artistic exchange and performance activities such as: xoe dance, bamboo dance, panpipe dance, traditional handicraft demonstrations... Including the Lu ethnic group's weaving performance; the technique of creating patterns on fabric with beeswax, pounding sticky rice cakes, panpipe dance, making panpipes of the Mong ethnic group; costume shaping, xoe dance of the Ha Nhi ethnic group; gong xoe dance, bamboo dance, xoe dance, then singing - tinh lute of the Thai ethnic group.... In addition, the Vietnam - China art exchange night; the Lai Chau province marathon in 2024... are also held on this occasion.
Mr. Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of Lai Chau Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: "We aim at tourism types that Lai Chau has strengths in, such as community tourism. In addition to the developed community tourism destinations of the province such as Sin Suoi Ho, Si Thau Chai, Lao Chai, we continue to develop new tourism products, such as trekking tourism to the high peaks of Lai Chau and adventure sports tourism. At the same time, the locality will also develop tourism products associated with agriculture , such as lake ecotourism associated with promoting agricultural products and OCOP products, the province's strengths".
Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2024 is organized to promote the fine traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups associated with tourism development. From there, aiming to promote the potential strengths and typical tourism products of Lai Chau to domestic and international tourists; expand links and cooperation in tourism development with domestic and international provinces and cities; connect and create favorable conditions for travel businesses to learn, expand markets, and build tours to bring visitors to Lai Chau.
