(Dan Tri) - The Hanoi City Association for Promotion of Education has just held a conference to summarize the work of promoting education for the 2020-2025 term, preparing for the work of promoting education in the new term with local authorities at 2 levels.

Looking back at the activities of the Hanoi City Association for the Promotion of Education for the 2020-2025 term, the key tasks and key targets have been successfully completed by the Association.

With the spirit of overcoming difficulties - innovation - creativity, the Association has made outstanding marks in all aspects of work and emulation movements. The number of organizations under the Association as well as the number of members has increased sharply.

The Association continuously builds learning models that exceed the targets set by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education . The Fund for Promoting Education is growing.

The Association has awarded scholarships to many students, workers, soldiers on islands, students in flood-affected areas, and ethnic minority border areas... The movement to encourage learning has been developed from the grassroots to the city level.

In the past 5 years, the Association has been awarded one medal, bringing the total number of medals of the Association to 3, 3 excellent emulation flags and many certificates of merit from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and other sectors and organizations.

The period 2020-2025 is 5 years in the flow of 27 years of operation since its establishment, the Hanoi City Association for Promotion of Education has continued to affirm its position and role as an organization assigned by the Party and State, contributing to the development of the capital.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Association still faces some difficulties. For example, the financial and material conditions of some District, Commune, Ward and Town Associations for the Promotion of Education are still limited. Some Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the Association for the Promotion of Education hold concurrent positions, so they are significantly affected.

Despite difficulties and challenges, the Association has excellently completed key tasks, achieving and exceeding the main targets set by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education.

The Hanoi City Association for Promotion of Education has actively innovated and created innovations in information and propaganda work; strengthened the organization and developed the Association year by year with numbers showing specific results.

During the past term, the Association at all levels added 691,101 members, bringing the total number of members in the city to nearly 2 million, an increase of 54.22% compared to the beginning of the term.

However, the activities of the Hanoi City Association for Promoting Education still have some shortcomings and limitations. For example, the activities of some grassroots Associations for Promoting Education are still general, formal, and slow to innovate.

Although there have been many efforts to promote and mobilize the establishment of the Scholarship Fund, the Association's current fund source is still low compared to its potential.

In the coming time, the Hanoi City Association for Promotion of Education aims to carry out well the tasks of information and propaganda on promoting education, promoting talents, building a lifelong learning society, focusing on building learning models in agencies, families, communities...

The Association also needs to strengthen and improve the quality of the Association's organization; innovate the content and methods of operation of the Association in a practical, effective direction, suitable to the new situation.

In addition, the association needs to promote the socialization of social resources to promote learning and talent, build a learning society, contribute to promoting the fine traditions of the thousand-year-old capital, and build a rich, civilized and modern Hanoi city.
