(Dan Tri) - DIFF has contributed to bringing a large number of visitors to Da Nang . Over the 1 month of DIFF 2024, the city welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors, with revenue from accommodation and food services reaching 16,344 billion VND.
On January 8, the People's Committee of Da Nang city held a press conference to launch the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2025) and a series of accompanying activities.
A representative of the organizing committee said that in more than a month of DIFF 2024, Da Nang welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors, an increase of 60% over the same period. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage and travel services in June 2024 reached 16,344 billion VND (more than 642 million USD), an increase of 28.2% over the same period.

"These are telling numbers, not only demonstrating the attraction of the festival and its accompanying events, but also affirming the important role and driving force of DIFF for Da Nang's economy ," the organizing committee representative emphasized.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that DIFF is also one of the reasons why the number of tourists flocking to Da Nang keeps increasing every year.
According to Ms. Thi, in 2008, the contest was held for the first time, without a grandstand and Da Nang welcomed more than 1.2 million visitors, with revenue of just over 810 billion VND. After 12 times of organization, the city has welcomed nearly 11 million visitors, with total tourism revenue increasing to nearly 38,000 billion VND.
Ms. Thi acknowledged that the return of DIFF in 2023 and 2024 after a hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic has provided a strong "push", helping Da Nang tourism to flourish and achieve extremely impressive growth marks.

The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City hopes that DIFF 2025 with many innovations, creativity and breakthroughs promises to open a new era of Da Nang fireworks, marking a development period of the city.
According to Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Danang Tourism Association, the number of international visitors to Danang is expected to increase sharply by 20%-25% compared to 2024, reaching 5 million international visitors. Domestic visitors will increase by 10%, with about 8 million visitors.
With the theme "Da Nang - New Era", DIFF 2025 will be the longest fireworks season, with 6 competition nights. The opening night is scheduled to take place on May 31, with a match between Vietnam and Finland. This is also the first year that 2 teams from Vietnam will participate.
This year the art program will be more vibrant and trendy. The fireworks festival is also a place where young people have the opportunity to join other singles in Da Nang, through virtual space experiences.
