Tuan Chau International Passenger Port is one of the bustling tourist destinations, attracting domestic and international tourists. However, just a few hours after storm No. 3 swept through, the entire port area was severely damaged. At Tuan Chau International Passenger Port, 23 passenger ships were sunk and many ships were slightly damaged, with their roofs blown off...; the infrastructure of the offices and reception areas of businesses at the port was damaged.

Currently, businesses are working to overcome the consequences so that tourism activities can return to normal soon. Particularly for sunken and severely damaged ships, ship owners will have to spend a long time and a lot of money to restore them. Mr. Tran Van Hong, Head of the Ha Long Tourist Ship Association, said: The association currently has 490 ships, and storm No. 3 damaged many Ha Long tourist ships, causing heavy losses. After the storm, companies and businesses have urgently repaired the ships to continue operating for tourists and accommodation in Ha Long Bay. The work of overcoming the sunken ship incident is facing difficulties because the repair facilities are overloaded. The association is trying to contact salvage units to soon have a plan to salvage the ships to the repair shop. The association hopes that banks will have more policies to support loans for ships heavily affected by storm No. 3 so that owners of the ships can soon stabilize and resume business. Up to now, the Ha Long Tourist Boat Association has about 80% of the ships basically repaired and cleaned up after the storm, ready to welcome tourists back to visit the bay.

Some tours were also interrupted due to the impact of storm No. 3. Immediately after the storm passed, the business promptly overcame the consequences so that tourism activities could soon return to normal.

Mr. Jonathan Lai, General Manager of Citadines Marina Halong, said: Immediately after storm No. 3 ended, the unit tried to coordinate with forces to restore phone and internet signals to ensure people could contact the outside. Taking advantage of the rain-free weather, the unit is mobilizing human resources and machinery to clean up from the campus, lobby to the rooms to be ready to welcome visitors back. Although the storm left behind many difficulties, he believes that with the participation of local leaders, people and businesses, everything will soon be restored so that visitors can admire the beauty of the heritage coastal city again.
