Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise celebrates its 60th anniversary

On the morning of September 27, TKV Mining Geology Joint Stock Company held a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise October 1 (1965-2025).

On October 1, 1965, the General Department of Geology decided to establish the 9H Ke ​​Bao Search Team (the predecessor of the Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise) under the 9th Geological Group, with the task of establishing and correcting the 1/25,000 geological map of the entire Cai Bau island with an area of ​​over 270km ² and conducting a preliminary search for a prospective coal area of ​​over 100km ² .

The 9H Ke ​​Bao Exploration Team, when it was first established, had only more than 30 officers, workers and employees, and the physical facilities were still lacking. Overcoming difficulties, the unit persevered in the area, gradually asserting its position. By 1968, the Team was upgraded to the 9H Ke ​​Bao Exploration Team and then the 906 Geological Team. This is the core unit in the exploration of Mao Khe, Trang Bach, Hong Thai, Tan Yen coal mines...

At the end of 1991, Geological Group 906 changed its name to Geological Enterprise 906. In May 2003, when Mining Geology Joint Stock Company was established under the decision of Vietnam National Coal Corporation, Enterprise 906 received the merger of Enterprise 909 and was named Dong Trieu Geological - Geodetic Enterprise. In July 2010, the unit continued to change its name to Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise, becoming one of the four branches under Mining Geology Joint Stock Company.

On this occasion, many collectives and individuals of Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise were honored to receive awards from TKV and Mining Geology Joint Stock Company for their contributions to the construction and development of the Group.

During 60 years of construction and development, Dong Trieu Geological Enterprise has always played a pioneering role in geological exploration and survey, making important contributions to the development of the Coal industry and the country. Over the past 60 years, the Enterprise has implemented hundreds of exploration and survey plans with a total drilling length of over 800,000 meters, completing many valuable geological reports serving coal mining in the Northeast coal basin and the Red River Delta. With outstanding achievements, in 1983, the unit was awarded the First Class Labor Medal; especially, in October 1985, the Enterprise was honored to become the first unit of the Vietnamese Geological Industry to be awarded the title of Labor Hero.

In the coming time, Mining Geology Joint Stock Company will continue to restructure and rearrange its factories according to a new management model, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new development stage. At the same time, it will continue to invest in modern equipment and machinery and focus on human resource training, contributing to improving the efficiency of coal resource exploration and development.
