On the morning of September 21, the Hanoi People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony and installed the signboard of the Hanoi Children's Palace. This is a city-level project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024).
Attending the ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Central Vietnam Student Association Nguyen Minh Triet; Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ha Minh Hai and representatives of departments, branches, districts and towns in the city.

Mr. Dong Phuoc An, Director of the Hanoi City Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board, said that the Hanoi Children's Palace construction project is one of the key projects of Hanoi City in the 2020-2025 period.
The project has a total investment of 1,376 billion VND, the project implementation period is from 2020 to 2024. With the goal of building a large cultural, sports and political center for youth in the capital and the country. The project is built in the CV1 Park and Lake Area, Cau Giay New Urban Area, Nam Tu Liem District with items such as: 800-seat Theater, 3D - 4D Cinema (200 seats), 500-seat Gymnasium, 10-lane swimming pool, School and Library, Astronomy Tower and Administrative - Office Block, building a synchronous technical infrastructure system according to the approved planning.

The project started construction in November 2021 and will be completed in July 2024. Identifying this as a key project of the city, the Project Management Board has developed a detailed plan, focusing on directing the functional departments of the board and the units participating in the project to organize and implement the project in the correct order, according to the correct functions, and in compliance with the provisions of law.
Construction units, in the context of the epidemic outbreak, have both implemented epidemic prevention and made efforts to carry out construction. The units have made maximum efforts with machinery and equipment, experienced engineers with specialized training, and a team of skilled workers to ensure safety with many effective solutions. The construction works are on schedule, ensuring quality requirements, labor safety, environmental sanitation, etc.

The project has been accepted for fire prevention and fighting in Document 854 dated August 2, 2024 of Hanoi City Police. The project was inspected and accepted by Hanoi Department of Construction on August 23, 2024. The project was completed and put into use on September 9, 2024.
