This year, Hue City alone has 521 new recruits received by units of the Provincial Military Command, Provincial Border Guard Command, General Department of Engineering, Division 234 and units under the Provincial Police.
The ceremony took place in a solemn and concise atmosphere.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province (second from right cover) and Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the Provincial Police (left cover) presented flowers and souvenir flags to the receiving unit.
Before departure, in addition to the emotional tears saying goodbye to their loved ones, many new recruits smiled brightly, expressing their determination to train.
Wearing the green uniform of the People's Police, new recruit Tran Van Khuong (residing in Huong Tho commune, Hue city) smiled brightly throughout the ceremony. This 22-year-old man said that he had always dreamed of becoming a People's Police officer.
This year, with good health and conditions, Khuong was honored to become one of 85 new recruits joining the People's Public Security service.

"My family is very happy and proud that I am joining the military this year. When I join the unit, I will be determined to train and strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks during my military service so that my parents and siblings at home can rest assured," Khuong said.

New recruit Nguyen Cuu Minh Thong, one of the outstanding youth union members who volunteered to join the army, represented 521 new recruits of Hue City to speak at the 2024 military enlistment ceremony.
"As union members and young people, we are aware of the responsibility of protecting the glorious Fatherland of the youth. Promoting the spirit of "wherever there is a need, there is youth, where there is difficulty, there is youth", our youth today will devote all their strength and intelligence to contribute and are ready to set out...", Thong said proudly.
Thousands of relatives were present to see the new soldiers off.
Many new recruits were emotional at the moment of saying goodbye to their loved ones.
