"Female students applying to military schools must consider carefully"

4 military schools recruit female students

Responding to a reporter from PNVN Newspaper regarding the annual recruitment of female students at military schools, Colonel Do Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Military Recruitment Board of the Ministry of National Defense, said that in 2025, 4/20 military schools will recruit female students, namely the Military Technical Academy (17/360 targets); Military Medical Academy (16/180 targets); Logistics Academy (4/94 targets); Military Science Academy (8/80 targets).

"Like previous years, the enrollment quota for female students at military schools is very low. In addition, the scores for female candidates to be admitted to military schools are often much higher than those for male candidates," Colonel Tam informed.

From that reality, the representative of the Military Recruitment Board of the Ministry of National Defense said that female candidates who wish to take the exam for military schools will have to consider carefully. "You should base on your exam results in the capacity assessment exams or the exam results at high school level and at the same time refer to the admission scores for the majors of military schools to have appropriate registrations."

The representative of the Military Recruitment Board of the Ministry of National Defense also said that among the 4 military schools that recruit female students, there are 3 schools that can exchange their wishes with each other, which are the Military Technical Academy, the Military Medical Academy and the Military Science Academy. This is also a note in the process of female candidates registering their wishes.

2 military schools recruit block C00

In 2025, among military schools, there are only two schools that recruit block C00: the Border Guard Academy and the Political Officer School. Both of the above schools do not recruit female candidates.

Specifically, the Border Guard Academy recruits block C00 for both training majors: Border Guard and Law. However, if in 2024 the school only recruited block C00 and A01 (Math - Physics - English), this year the school has added 3 new admission groups including: Literature - Math - Physics, Literature - Math - History and Literature - Math - English.

Similarly, the Political Officer School also added 2 new admission combinations compared to 2024. In addition to block C00, candidates will be admitted using the combinations of Math - Physics - Chemistry, Math - Literature - English, Literature - Math - History and Literature - Math - Geography.

According to Colonel Do Thanh Tam, in 2025, schools will continue to maintain the admission combinations that have been recruiting since 2024 and earlier. In addition, schools will also add other admission combinations to suit the conditions of candidates graduating from the 2018 General Education Program.

"The admission combinations are considered equally, without dividing the admission quota for each combination according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Next year, it is expected that military schools will research and propose new admission combinations suitable for the training program," said Colonel Do Thanh Tam.
