'Grace of Birth 2025' - spreading meaningful messages during Vu Lan season

Spreading a beautiful lifestyle, filial piety and gratitude

The special art program to show gratitude to parents during Vu Lan season with the theme "Gratitude of birth" jointly implemented by Kinh te & Do thi newspaper, Phu nu Viet Nam newspaper, Oscar Media Advertising Joint Stock Company (Oscar Media) has become an annual "meeting place". "Gratitude of birth" is a meaningful activity every Vu Lan season for each person, especially young people, to continue to preserve and promote the thousand-year-old traditional cultural values of the nation.

In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Editor-in-Chief of Kinh te & Do thi Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the Program was held at a time when the whole country had many activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day September 2 (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025). This is also an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have contributed, to express deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, and martyrs - those who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. The Program also contributes to educating the younger generation, sowing the seeds of filial piety, patriotism and civic consciousness among the youth.

The special art program to show gratitude to parents during Vu Lan season with the theme "Gratitude of Birth" has been held since 2017. This year, the special point is that the program "Gratitude of Birth" has the accompaniment and coordination of 3 units, promising surprises.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, “The Grace of Birth in 2025” is made with all the heart and soul of the Economic & Urban journalists and the Vietnamese Women’s Newspaper to deepen filial piety and gratitude. Through each season, the program has increasingly attracted a larger audience, becoming the “nucleus” spreading “waves” of kindness and beautiful thoughts and actions in life.

Meanwhile, Director Mai Thanh Tung - Author and General Director of the program shared: "The success of previous programs is the motivation for us to strive and be more creative in order to bring the audience an emotional program with humanistic values. I believe that what we convey through art will be fully conveyed to the audience, touching every heart so that each person continues to write songs about humanity and promote the precious traditions of the nation."

The space of "filial piety season"

Elaborately staged with the participation of famous singers, artists, dance groups and children with songs about family affection, the program contributes to preserving humanistic values in Vietnamese traditions: "When drinking water, remember its source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree". "Grateful for parents 2025" is expected to be a touching and profound night of art in a solemn and sophisticated space.

Director Mai Thanh Tung - Author, General Director of the program affirmed that using music to praise the immense merit of parents and predecessors, reminding the responsibility of the younger generation, the program uses unique performing arts forms combining a variety of music, dance, poetry, drama... with modern stage techniques to convey meaningful messages during the Vu Lan season of filial piety.

“Grateful for Parents 2025” is a special art program that is elaborately staged, profound and rich in symbolism, from singing and dancing, poetry, drama, Xam singing… to performances combining traditional and modern music. Through the language of art, the program depicts sacred and familiar images of fatherly love, motherly love, the silent sacrifice of parents and emotional moments in the journey of growing up of each person.

The art program “Grateful for the birth of 2025” is expected to last 120 minutes and includes: Opening performance: Xam “Cong cha ngai me sinh thanh” – song “Dat nuoc loi lua”; Reportage: A series of meaningful activities “Grateful for the birth of 2025” and Art program. In which, the art program includes 3 chapters: Chapter 1 has the theme “Vietnamese Mother”, depicting the sacred connection between Mother and Fatherland, mothers who have silently contributed to shaping the shape of the country.

Chapter 2 has the theme “Grace of Birth”, honoring the grace of birth, children grow up from the calloused hands and gentle heart of the birth giver. Sowing into people’s hearts regret and torment when many people have not had time to say words of love, have not had time to repay the kindness, parents, each audience member seems to see themselves in the stream of late tears.

Meanwhile, chapter 3 has the theme "Fulfilling Filial Piety" with the aim of spreading the message of love, emphasizing the value of filial piety in modern life - as a reminder to live up to one's filial duties while one still can.

In addition, there are reports on visits and gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, homeless elderly people, people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs; visiting martyrs' cemeteries, giving gifts to policy families in Da Nang City, Hanoi City, Ho Chi Minh City... showing the heart and respect of the Organizing Committee.

The activities aim to spread the spirit of patriotism, national pride, gratitude for the contributions of ancestors, and arouse the strong desire for peace in the hearts of each person to rise up and contribute to the Fatherland through practical and specific actions, suitable for each locality in the country.

“The Grace of Birth 2025” with many special art performances such as: Xam: Cong cha ngai me sinh sanh performed by artist Mai Tuyet Hoa, Tre Dance Group, Sao Tuoi Tho Club; Song Dat nuoc loi ru (composed by Van Thanh Nho) performed by singer Ngoc Lien. At the program, the audience will also enjoy the sweet singing of Diva My Linh through the songs: “Loi me ru” and Huyen thuy me”.
