OpenAI Unveils ChatGPT-5 with Significant Improvements

On August 7 (US time), US-based technology company OpenAI launched the long-awaited new generation version of ChatGPT called ChatGPT-5.

The new version ChatGPT-5 is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) engine that carries all the company's signature features, equipped with "significant" improvements in Artificial Intelligence capabilities, in the context of the increasingly fierce global race in this technology field.

OpenAI co-founder and CEO Sam Altman calls the latest version "a comprehensive AI model, a significant step towards truly capable models."

Still, Mr. Altman noted that there is still a long way to go and much work to be done to develop a general AI (AGI) tool that can think like a human.

OpenAI launched ChatGPT-5 a day after the tech company announced it would let the US government use a version of ChatGPT designed for businesses for one year for just $1.
