In 2024, the direction and management of the Transport sector is assessed to have many innovations, creativity, determination, focus, and key points, thereby achieving many outstanding results. In particular, the progress of important national projects and key projects of the Transport sector is basically guaranteed. Many long-standing difficulties and problems have been resolved, and some projects are expected to be completed 3 to 6 months ahead of schedule.

The Ministry of Transport continues to be one of the ministries, branches and localities with the highest average disbursement level in the country.

In 2025, the Transport sector strives to start 19 projects and complete 50 projects. Of which, completing component projects, connecting the North-South expressway in the East and, together with localities, completing a number of expressway projects to put into operation 3,000km of expressway; completing and basically connecting Ho Chi Minh road; basically completing the Long Thanh International Airport project.

Acknowledging the achievements in all aspects of the Transport sector in 2024, and based on the tasks, solutions, goals and targets set by the Transport sector in 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested: 2025 is a year of strategic significance, requiring high determination, close coordination and innovation in thinking and action to continue implementing the important political tasks of the sector, especially making breakthroughs in transport infrastructure, contributing to realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and powerful country.
