The first meeting of the 14th Congress Service Subcommittee

Comrade Truong Thi Mai delivered the concluding speech of the meeting.

At the meeting, comrade Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office presented the draft Plan for organizing the service of the 14th National Congress of the Party; Draft Conclusion on assigning tasks for organizing the service of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Discussing and giving comments on the drafts, the Subcommittee members clarified the task groups and responsibilities of the Subcommittee members as well as relevant agencies and units.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Truong Thi Mai highly appreciated the opinions expressed and discussed. At the same time, she emphasized a number of issues that need attention. She stated that the XIV Congress Service Subcommittee was established under the Decision of the 13th Central Executive Committee. The XIV Congress Service Subcommittee is responsible for preparing the contents and work to serve the 14th National Congress of the Party. The Service Subcommittee has a very large and specific workload. There are 3 general tasks and powers and will be specified into more than 100 tasks assigned to agencies, units and comrades in the Subcommittee. Therefore, comrade Truong Thi Mai requested that, based on the above drafts, each comrade member continue to supplement and contribute comments in writing to the Standing Committee of the Subcommittee for synthesis and completion.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai emphasized that the members of the Subcommittee are people with a lot of experience in serving the Congress through the terms. However, in the new context, with new requirements and tasks with many changes and fluctuations, it is necessary to be proactive in all situations, including taking into account urgent situations in security and food safety work to have scenarios and backup plans.

He also noted that, up to now, 5 sub-committees of the 14th Congress have been put into operation, therefore, the activities of the Service Sub-committee cannot be separated from the activities of other sub-committees of the Congress. There will be many related tasks that require unified direction among the sub-committees.

The events taking place before, during and after the Congress are reasonable, harmonious, create depth and aim at creating consensus among the people, have the power to spread, are profound political activities, create spirit and excitement to encourage the whole Party and the whole people to be determined to successfully complete the goals and tasks set out in each year. Promote the highest completion of goals and targets of the resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels and the 13th Congress.

Comrade Truong Thi Mai requested that the members of the Subcommittee promote their spirit, responsibility as well as the experiences from previous terms to successfully complete the tasks of the Subcommittee. The Head of the Subcommittee requested that each member of the Subcommittee proactively develop a detailed plan in conjunction with the plans of each agency, unit and coordination program to successfully complete the overall tasks of the Subcommittee.
