Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan praised and congratulated the achievements of the Education and Training sector of Dien Bien province in general and the Dien Bien Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities in particular. The Vice President hoped that the Education and Training sector of Dien Bien province in general and the Dien Bien Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities in particular should thoroughly grasp Resolution 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; concretize it into practical plans and actions suitable to local conditions.

For Dien Bien, although there have been some improvements in socio-economic development, compared to the general development of the region and the country, the locality still has to make a lot of efforts. Therefore, in addition to investing in socio-economic infrastructure, investing in human resources and investing in education are necessary steps that Dien Bien must focus on.

To invest in education in a systematic and substantial way, it is not only important to improve knowledge but more importantly to improve the qualities and skills needed by human resources for the present and the future. These are life skills, learning skills, working skills, adaptation and integration skills. The young generation must have the necessary skills to be able to adapt, integrate and promote their role in the new context. Therefore, investing in technology is considered as hard skills, hard knowledge, while culture and other soft skills will determine their success in the future.

The Vice President requested the leaders of Dien Bien province to continue to pay full and deep attention, creating conditions for the education sector to best carry out the missions assigned by the Party, State and people. Thereby, creating conditions for the ethnic people in Dien Bien to develop sustainably, unite, and join hands to care for and build their homeland to be more and more prosperous.
