Along with Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, wife of President Luong Cuong, visiting Viet-Bun Kindergarten (Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi ) on November 25, Mrs. President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev expressed her impression and happiness that despite being tens of thousands of kilometers away, there is a school about Bulgarian culture in Vietnam.
Welcoming the two ladies were children in traditional Bulgarian costumes. Here, Hieu Minh, a student from the senior kindergarten class, presented the two ladies with two paintings he had drawn himself. Mrs. Desislava Radeva received a portrait of herself mingling with famous landscapes of Vietnam and Bulgaria, while the President's wife received a painting of the scenery of Viet-Bun Kindergarten. The children sang songs about Bulgaria and performed the musical "Little Hoa goes to school" adapted from a Bulgarian story...

The two ladies also visited the classroom of 5-year-old students named Yanbibian (a famous Bulgarian cartoon character). This is one of the original classrooms since Bulgaria built it in 1981. Here, the Bulgarian President's wife presented the children with a Yanbibian figurine as a gift. Afterwards, the two ladies participated in Koro and bamboo dancing activities in the school grounds.
"Children are our love and our future. I would like to thank the teachers who have taught and educated the children about love and affection for Bulgaria," VNA quoted Ms. Desislava Radeva as saying.

Mrs. Desislava Radeva hopes that one day she will be able to welcome Vietnamese children to the Land of Roses and enjoy traditional Bulgarian dishes.
As First Lady of Bulgaria, Desislava Radeva has taken many initiatives related to children. She often meets with schoolchildren to discuss various topics related to Bulgarian traditions, culture, fighting fake news and children's education. She also sponsors the project “Alternative Music in the Streets”, which opens the doors of classical music to children from disadvantaged families.

Viet-Bun Kindergarten was established on December 23, 1981, donated to Vietnamese children by the Bulgarian Women's Union, formerly Dimitrov Kindergarten, under the Committee for the Protection of Mothers and Children. After the kindergarten was dissolved, the school was transferred to the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi, and was renamed Viet-Bun Kindergarten by the City People's Committee.
