In recent years, Phu Tho has always been a locality that has been assessed to have a strong afforestation movement, contributing to maintaining a good forest cover rate of nearly 40% in the province. To achieve this positive result, the Forest Protection Department has strengthened coordination with related units; directed the Forest Protection Departments to coordinate with local authorities at the commune level to prepare the site and materials (seedlings, fertilizers) for afforestation; guided the transfer of planting and forest care techniques to forest owners to ensure proper technical procedures...
Tram Than Nursery Cooperative, Tram Than Commune, Phu Ninh District ensures the supply of forestry seedlings to serve afforestation work in the area.
The good implementation of afforestation has contributed to improving the environment, combating climate change, especially increasing income for forest growers as well as creating a stable source of input materials, ensuring quality and quantity for the forest products processing industry.
