Long An Ward planted a memorial tree at the General House

On the morning of August 22, the People's Committee of Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province organized a commemorative tree planting ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Tan An Provincial Party Committee's official public operation at the General Secretary's House (August 22, 1945 - August 22, 2025).

Attending the ceremony were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dai Thy; Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Tien Tan.

At the ceremony, delegates were introduced to the history of the Tong Than House relic, reviewed the heroic tradition of the successful August Revolution days in the province and planted souvenir trees at the relic site.

Exactly 80 years ago, on August 22, 1945, the Tan An uprising won. Under the direction of the Tan An Provincial Party Committee, the provisional government requisitioned the Tong Than House as its headquarters and operated openly.

During the time the Tan An Provincial Party Committee chose the General House as its office, it marked many important historical events of the province. This place witnessed many important meetings to set out timely policies and guidelines to consolidate and protect the People's government after the revolution.

Up to now, the relic of the General's House has become a "red address" to educate revolutionary traditions for young generations./.
