Quang Nam implements loan policy for people who have completed their prison sentences

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province has just issued an official dispatch requesting relevant departments, branches and sectors to coordinate with localities in the province to implement a loan policy for people who have completed their prison sentences.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to coordinate with relevant departments, branches, sectors and agencies to advise the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee to arrange budget capital entrusted through the Provincial Social Policy Bank to provide loans to people who have completed their prison sentences.

At the same time, coordinate with the Provincial Social Policy Bank in the process of loan monitoring and debt collection. Timely detect and handle cases of taking advantage of policies and regulations for personal gain and violating the law in accordance with the law.

The Provincial Police directs the Commune Police to periodically on the 5th of each month compile and provide a list of people who have completed their prison sentences and are in need of and eligible to borrow capital to the Social Policy Bank as a basis for lending. Take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies and the Social Policy Bank where the loan is provided in organizing and implementing the loan; propose solutions to problems and difficulties arising during the implementation process.

The People's Committee of Quang Nam province also assigned the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch to coordinate with relevant departments, branches, local authorities, socio-political organizations at all levels, and the Savings and Loan Group to organize propaganda about the loan program for people who have completed their prison sentences according to Decision No. 22/2023/QD-TTg dated August 17, 2023 of the Prime Minister; direct the District Social Policy Bank Transaction Office to organize timely disbursement of capital to beneficiaries; coordinate with relevant units to perform well the inspection and supervision work to ensure loans are given to the right subjects and capital is used for the right purposes.

The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at all levels shall strengthen the propaganda and dissemination of policies and guidelines on lending to people who have completed their prison sentences to all levels, sectors, and to the people and beneficiaries for implementation.

The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are responsible for directing the People's Committees at the commune level to confirm the beneficiaries and conditions of the loan policy in a timely manner; directing village chiefs, entrusted socio-political organizations, and Savings and Loan Groups to conduct loan evaluation in a public and transparent manner, ensuring proper procedures, and promptly completing loan applications to send to the Social Policy Bank in the area for lending.
