Quang Ngai needs to continue promoting the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement.

Continuing his working trip to Quang Ngai, on the afternoon of February 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting with the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee on the socio -economic development situation, ensuring national defense and security, social security, Party building work... in Quang Ngai province.

Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment and leaders of the Government Office . On the side of Quang Ngai province, there were Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Dang Ngoc Huy, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, departments and branches attending the working session.

Reporting to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, said that in 2024, Quang Ngai province has 25 main socio-economic targets, all of which have been achieved and exceeded the set plan (of which 11 targets have been exceeded), notably: The growth rate of products in the area (GRDP) reached 4.07%; GRDP per capita is estimated at 4,460 USD/person, ranked 2nd/5 in the Central Central sub-region; 2/14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions, ranked 17th/63 provinces and cities nationwide. Total social investment capital is estimated at 68,865 billion VND, an increase of 54.7% compared to 2023, exceeding the annual plan; Total state budget revenue is estimated at nearly 30,333 billion VND, exceeding 18.7% compared to the estimate assigned by the Central Government. This is the 4th consecutive year that Quang Ngai province has exceeded its budget revenue, ranking 1/5 in the Central Central sub-region; 2/14 provinces in the North Central and Central Coast regions, and 12th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

The Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee promptly summarized Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and developed a comprehensive plan on streamlining the organization and apparatus of the province's political system, and oriented the organization and apparatus of districts, towns and cities in the province. Along with that, Quang Ngai fully and in detail prepared the necessary conditions to successfully organize the Party Congresses at all levels; the 21st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, towards the 14th National Party Congress.

In order to strive to achieve the economic growth target of 8.5% in 2025 according to the province's plan and the direction of the Prime Minister, striving to make Quang Ngai a fairly developed province in the country by 2030, Quang Ngai province respectfully requests the Prime Minister, ministries and central branches to pay attention to and resolve a number of recommendations such as: In Resolution No. 168/NQ-CP dated December 29, 2022 of the Government, Quang Ngai province has 2 important projects: Project of National Refinery, Petrochemical and Energy Center in Dung Quat Economic Zone, chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and is being submitted to the Prime Minister for approval; Project of Developing Ly Son Island District, Quang Ngai Province into a Sea - Island Tourism Center, chaired by Quang Ngai province, currently consulting relevant agencies and units to synthesize and submit to the Prime Minister for approval.

To effectively implement these two projects, Quang Ngai province proposed that the Prime Minister allow the inclusion of a number of specific mechanisms and policies in the above two projects to ensure the legal basis and resources for effective implementation of Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated November 3, 2022 of the Politburo and Resolution No. 168/NQ-CP dated December 29, 2022 of the Government;...

Concluding the working session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Quang Ngai to unite and agree; regularly give constructive comments; implement the principle of each person doing their own work, not pushing or avoiding; promote the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement; not wait and rely on others, develop from "hands, brains, sky, sea", grasp the situation at home and abroad, flexibly handle emerging issues; be proactive in all situations, always have a plan to respond to any unexpected developments.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that in terms of direction and management, the province needs to closely follow the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress; the Resolution of the Politburo on regional planning; the policies, resolutions, conclusions, and directives of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Government, and the Prime Minister; continue to promote the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening, solidarity, and unity; have innovative thinking, strategic vision, foresight, think deeply and do great things, clear thinking, high determination, great efforts, decisive actions, complete each task, focus on key points; clearly assign people, tasks, responsibilities, progress, and products;...

Regarding the main tasks and solutions, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the province to focus on implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW on restructuring the organizational apparatus, completing it in February so that it can be put into operation in March in conjunction with the organization of Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress. Focus on implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the Government's Action Plan on science and technology, innovation, digital transformation in conjunction with Project 6, assigning departments, branches and localities in the province to seriously implement it; develop growth scenarios.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the province to focus on training human resources to meet the requirements of high-tech and innovative industries, contributing to improving labor productivity. The grassroots level must be close to the people, take care of the material and spiritual life of the people; emphasize resources originating from thinking, motivation originating from innovation, strength originating from the people and businesses; must ensure social security, focus on eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

On the same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the working delegation visited Mr. Tran Trung Kien's family in Duc Chanh commune, Mo Duc district, to inspect the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Quang Ngai province.
