Quang Ngai is about to have a 640 billion VND social housing area

The social housing project in Quang Ngai has a total investment of 640 billion VND with 750 apartments and is expected to start construction in October 2025.

Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee worked with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on investment in the construction of the Trade Union Social Housing Project.

On March 14, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Tran Phuoc Hien chaired a working session with the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to discuss and agree on a number of contents related to the investment project to build trade union social housing in this province.

In November 2023, the People's Committee of Son Tinh district issued a decision approving the detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/500 of the Trade Union Institution Area in Tinh Phong commune, with a total area of about 4.05 hectares.

The representative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allocate part of the land of the approved project to invest in building social housing to serve the rental needs of workers and laborers. The total land area is expected to be about 2 hectares to build 750 apartments, parking lots, flower gardens, and technical infrastructure works... The number of residents is about 2,500 people. The total investment is expected to be 640 billion VND.

To synchronize with the investment project to build social housing area, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that the Provincial People's Committee invest in the infrastructure around the land: traffic system, electricity, water, wastewater drainage system...

At the same time, promptly organize the selection of investors to build houses on the remaining land to synchronize the items according to the approved 1/500 detailed planning.

"If Quang Ngai province creates all favorable conditions, it is expected that in October 2025, the trade union social housing project in Tinh Phong commune will start. Initially, about 2 hectares will be built, with completion time of about 6-9 months," emphasized a representative of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Tran Phuoc Hien agreed with the recommendations and proposals of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor related to the project. He pledged that the province will closely coordinate with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to promote the implementation progress, ensuring the project is deployed effectively and on schedule. At the same time, he requested relevant departments, branches, units and localities to actively provide maximum support so that the project can soon come into operation, bringing practical benefits to workers.

In addition, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province hopes that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will continue to pay attention and develop the remaining 2 hectares that have been planned for social housing construction. The province is committed to creating all favorable conditions for investors to implement social housing construction.
