Quang Tri: 10-year-old girl attacked by monkey and hospitalized

On the afternoon of July 4, Cam Lo Regional Medical Center, Quang Tri province, said that the unit had just received and was treating a 10-year-old girl who was attacked by a monkey, causing injuries to her head and buttocks while playing with her family in the Rao Vinh stream area, in Cam Lo commune.

The victim was BTNQ (born in 2015), residing in Dak Lak province.

According to initial information, at around 9:00 a.m. on July 3, Q and his family traveled from Dak Lak to visit relatives in Doc Kinh village, Cam Lo commune.

While walking with his family and visiting Rao Vinh stream, he was unfortunately suddenly attacked by a monkey, knocked to the ground, then bitten repeatedly on the head and buttocks.

Seeing the child bleeding profusely and with deep wounds, the family took the child to the hospital for emergency care.

Cam Lo-Dong Ha Forest Protection Department confirmed that it had received information about the incident. The unit has sent Forest Protection officers to inspect and verify at the scene.

If wild monkeys are discovered in the area, the Forest Protection Department will coordinate with local authorities to organize forces to handle the situation promptly, ensuring safety for people and tourists.../.
