Launching Van Ninh high-tech marine farming cooperative

On October 10, Khanh Hoa Province Cooperative Union coordinated with Van Ninh District People's Committee to organize the launching ceremony of Van Ninh High-Tech Marine Farming Cooperative.

Accordingly, the leaders of Van Ninh District People's Committee awarded the cooperative registration certificate; the leaders of the Provincial Cooperative Union awarded the decision to recognize the membership of the Provincial Cooperative Union to Van Ninh High-Tech Marine Farming Cooperative, with 5 members.

Van Ninh High-Tech Marine Farming Cooperative was established with 5 members.

On this occasion, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Le Huu Hoang presented flowers to congratulate the cooperative members and presented the Van Ninh High-Tech Marine Farming Cooperative with 2,000 aquatic breeds for farming, worth 35 million VND.

Mr. Le Huu Hoang also went directly to the aquaculture raft of Van Ninh High-Tech Marine Farming Cooperative to visit, encourage, and release the fry into the cooperative's cages.

It is known that Khanh Hoa has an annual aquaculture output of over 18,000 tons. Of which, marine aquaculture output accounts for about 50% of the total aquaculture output of the whole province.

The leader of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Khanh Hoa province said that Khanh Hoa has introduced new farming species with high economic value and export value into production such as: tiger prawn, grouper, sea bass, seaweed, pearl, green mussel, geoduck, sweet snail, yellowfin pomfret..., contributing to promoting the aquaculture movement in the whole province; proactively producing artificial breeds of tiger prawn, abalone, blood cockle, sweet snail, geoduck, yellowfin pomfret.

Currently, in Khanh Hoa province, a number of enterprises and units have invested in industrial marine farming, bringing high efficiency, such as: Australis Vietnam Seafood Co., Ltd., High-tech Marine Farming Center under the Aquaculture Research Institute I, Phuong Minh Aquaculture Joint Stock Company.

In particular, Australis Vietnam Seafood Co., Ltd. has invested in and effectively applied Norwegian cage farming technology and advanced farming technology such as operating an automatic fish feeding system, creating a closed value chain from artificial seed production to harvesting.
