Bustling July New Year Festival of the Green Mong people in Nam Xe commune

On the morning of September 6 (15th day of the 7th lunar month), in Tu Thuong village, Nam Xe commune, the 2025 July New Year Festival of the Green Mong people took place.

Tu Thuong villagers respectfully offer offerings to their ancestors.

According to the spiritual beliefs of the Green Mong people, the 7th lunar month is one of the most important events. On this day, people wear colorful traditional costumes and respectfully offer their ancestors offerings including sticky rice, chicken, cakes, wine, fruits, etc., praying for the best things to come to the community.
