A representative of Saigon Co.op said that the unit has increased essential supplies by 20-30%, discounted up to 50% on selected Vietnamese goods in the "Proud of Vietnamese Supermarket" program and many incentives in response to Shopping Season 2025, thanks to which purchasing power has increased dramatically, contributing to spreading Vietnamese goods.
Purchasing power explodes thanks to great deals
The Concentrated Promotion Program - "Shopping Season", launched from June 15, 2025, is organized continuously in many phases with diverse incentives, up to 100%, creating conditions for consumers to access high-quality goods and services.
According to the Department of Industry and Trade of Ho Chi Minh City, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of Ho Chi Minh City in the first 7 months of 2025 reached 1.07 million billion VND, up 15.5% over the same period, of which retail sales of goods reached 554,749 billion VND, up 14.8%, this is the highest level in recent years.
As a pioneering retail enterprise responding to the program, Saigon Co.op said it has implemented a series of incentives from June to September 2025 across the entire system, with many programs exceeding the normal framework.
A series of essential items at Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Sense City, SC VivoCity… are discounted by more than 50%, combining diverse forms of promotions, attracting a large number of customers and increasing access to quality goods at good prices.

At the same time, Saigon Co.op also actively accompanies the "Responsible Green Tick" initiative of Ho Chi Minh City, building a safe and sustainable shopping ecosystem. Currently, there are more than 1,000 Green Tick products from 104 suppliers displayed separately at the supermarket, integrating QR codes to clearly indicate their origin, helping consumers easily identify and look up information.
21 days of great promotions beyond the limit
The program "Proud of Vietnamese Supermarkets 2025" takes place continuously for 21 days (from August 28 to September 17, 2025) at more than 800 Saigon Co.op points of sale nationwide, designed to anticipate the peak shopping season on National Day September 2.
The event focuses on promoting high-quality Vietnamese goods with a series of large-scale promotions through nearly 30,000 essential product codes. In the Ho Chi Minh City area, many items are deeply discounted by 50 - 53%, exceeding the usual recommended level thanks to the flexible mechanism of Shopping Season.

Consecutive promotional activities such as buy 1 get 1 free, 8% cashback, free agricultural product basket, special 2-9 mascot teddy bear for customers wearing red clothes to visit and shop, 3 bonus points for member customers, along with a series of roadshows in 3 regions and livestreaming seafood sales right at the supermarket have created a vibrant atmosphere.
Thanks to that, the number of customers coming to shop at the Saigon Co.op system has increased dramatically, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi , Da Nang, Can Tho, Tay Ninh... and urban areas.

In parallel with National Day, Saigon Co.op also identified moon cakes as a key product in the peak season at the end of the third quarter. In addition to the Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food systems, the unit also cooperated to expand the network to production and business establishments in Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, Saigon Co.op distributes a variety of prestigious brands such as Kinh Do, Huu Nghi, Bao Minh, Dai Phat, Bibica, Maison, Orion Vina, Thien Luong... with discounts up to 16%. In particular, Co.op's private label products continue to be heavily invested in with modern designs, healthy ingredients, and clear traceability.
This year, Co.op Bakery collaborated with Savouré Saigon Signature Mooncake to launch a luxurious tin box containing 4 mooncakes and 1 tea, priced at 316,000 VND, with a discount of 285,000 VND/box. The product was quickly ordered by many companies and agencies as gifts, while also attracting retail customers thanks to its eye-catching design, delicious, less sweet taste, and reasonable price.
