Week of promoting OCOP agricultural products
In celebration of the International Cooperative Day on July 1, the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives ( Saigon Co.op ) is enthusiastically launching the OCOP Agricultural Products Promotion Week (one product per commune) within the framework of the Vietnamese Family - Green Ambassador program taking place from now until July 12.
The OCOP program for the period 2021 - 2025 has been approved by the Government with a focus on developing the rural economy towards promoting internal strength and increasing value. Thereby increasing people's income. As the leading retailer in the country, with 26 member cooperatives with a wide range of operations, Saigon Co.op is an important bridge to bring quality OCOP agricultural products closer to consumers. In particular, on June 30, Mr. Tran Lam Hong - Deputy General Director of Saigon Co.op - signed a memorandum of understanding with businesses and cooperatives to support the consumption of OCOP products at the Ceremony to announce and award the decision to recognize OCOP products in Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 at 23.9 Park, District 1. Accordingly, 7 businesses and cooperatives in Ho Chi Minh City that produce products such as fish sauce and dried products of all kinds, clean vegetables according to VietGAP standards... will be given maximum conditions to do business in Saigon Co.op's distribution systems.
On this occasion, the OCOP agricultural product promotion week is applied simultaneously at nearly 130 Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets. The program offers super good preferential prices for items with a discount of 15% to 20% for OCOP agricultural products.
