According to the Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection (Department of Agriculture and Environment), farmers in custard apple growing areas in the city are currently focusing on harvesting custard apples at the end of the season.

Hai Phong City has 1,640 hectares of custard apples. This year, the city's custard apple output is estimated at 22,000 tons, down 0.2% over the same period last year. The reason is that during the flowering and fruiting stages, the weather is unfavorable. However, due to the application of synchronous techniques in production, the quality of Hai Phong custard apples is good, the appearance is beautiful, and they are favored by consumers.

Hai Phong city has 1,640 hectares of custard apples, mainly concentrated in the western region.

In addition to growing custard apples concentrated in production areas, some custard apple growing areas are cultivated according to VietGAP processes, ensuring quality. With an average selling price of 20,000 - 30,000 VND/kg, Hai Phong custard apple growers earn a profit of 100 - 120 million VND/ha/year.
