According to the plan, Thanh Hoa province will simultaneously organize the 2024 military enlistment ceremony at 8:00 a.m. on February 26 in 27 districts, towns and cities. Before and during the military enlistment ceremony, localities will organize cultural and artistic activities and maintain the traditional fire lighting ritual and drum beating to open the military enlistment ceremony. To prepare the conditions for the military enlistment ceremony to take place safely, solemnly and in accordance with regulations, as a military enlistment festival, the Military Commands of districts, towns and cities in the province have coordinated with departments and units under the Provincial Military Command to receive and organize the issuance of military uniforms to new recruits according to standards. At the same time, they will guide and check the new recruits' uniforms according to regulations. In addition to advising the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to develop plans to organize military handover ceremonies outdoors and in large halls, in order to be proactive when weather conditions are unfavorable, the Military Commands of districts, towns and cities in the province also coordinate with military receiving units to organize the military handover formation and vehicles to pick up new recruits according to each unit to ensure science . Along with that, the districts, towns and cities have led and directed the local police to develop plans to ensure security and safety during the military handover ceremony. In particular, focusing on traffic diversion plans at military handover locations and the circulation of vehicles transporting new recruits through the roads in the area.

The "drumbeat of military service" is approaching very soon. These days, everywhere in the province, there is a joyful and exciting atmosphere, to cheer, encourage, and fuel the new recruits to set out to fulfill the sacred duty of building and defending the Fatherland. With the spirit and enthusiasm of youth, 100% of the outstanding young people who have been recruited for military service (NVQS) are present in the locality, ready with military equipment, eagerly waiting for the departure date. Before the day of sending off the outstanding children of the homeland, the Party committees, authorities, and organizations of localities in the province organized exchanges, meetings, and gave gifts to encourage the young people who have been recruited for military service in 2024, especially the families of the young people with difficult circumstances, so that they can feel secure in training and contributing in the military environment. Typically, Thach Thanh district organized the talk show "Fueling the tradition of the soldier"; Yen Dinh district organized the cultural exchange program "Glory of being a soldier"...

On the morning of February 26, at the Giang Quarter Cultural House, Lang Chanh Town, the Lang Chanh District Military Service Council held a military handover ceremony in 2024. Before seeing off 85 new recruits to perform military service and 10 young men to join the People's Public Security service, the Giang Quarter Cultural House was filled with national flags, banners, and slogans to encourage and motivate the outstanding young men to perform their sacred duty to the Fatherland. In recent days, the house of Mr. Le Van Hon, Tiu quarter, Lang Chanh town has always been filled with laughter, because relatives and neighbors have come to share the joy with the family, when his son, Le Van Tuyen, passed the military service exam and is preparing to join the army.

Born into a family with a revolutionary tradition, since he was still in school, Tuyen dreamed of becoming a soldier in the army. After graduating from high school, he volunteered to join the army and was selected for military service in 2024. Before leaving for the army, Mr. Hon and his wife neatly packed Tuyen's luggage. At the same time, they encouraged him to always strive to train hard, strictly follow the unit's orders and complete the assigned tasks well.

In 2024, Thanh Hoa City will have 175 outstanding young men enlisting in military and People's Public Security units. Joining the atmosphere of the military enlistment day of Thanh youth, on the morning of February 26, at Lam Son Square, Thanh Hoa City held the 2024 military enlistment ceremony. Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Chung, Deputy Commander of Thanh Hoa City Military Command, said: "To ensure the military enlistment ceremony is solemn, quick, safe, economical, in accordance with regulations and truly a military enlistment day for all people, the City Military Command has coordinated with departments, offices, agencies and units of the city to develop 2 plans for organizing the military enlistment ceremony. Specifically, plan 1 will hold the military enlistment ceremony at Lam Son Square in favorable weather conditions. Plan 2 will hold the military enlistment ceremony at Thanh Hoa City Convention Center if the weather conditions are unfavorable and there is rain. In addition, the unit will coordinate with Thanh Hoa City Police and the Police of Dien Bien and Dong Hai wards to arrange forces to ensure security and safety during the military enlistment ceremony and organize traffic flow on routes to the military handover and reception locations. At the same time, Thanh Hoa City Police also developed a plan to ensure traffic safety for the convoy of vehicles transporting new recruits on the city's roads. Coordinate with military receiving units to organize the military handover formation and vehicles to pick up new recruits according to each unit to ensure scientific assurance; review all new recruit files to prepare for full handover to the military receiving units. Along with the ceremonial decorations, the stage, and the fire according to regulations, Thanh Hoa City Military Command also coordinated with the Center for Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism to arrange locations to hang red flags, national flags, banners, and slogans to encourage and motivate outstanding young people to go on their sacred duty to the Fatherland.

To encourage new recruits before their military enlistment, the People's Committee of Thach Thanh district organized a talk show to ignite the tradition "Glory to the Soldiers".

Pursuant to Decision No. 82/QD-TTg dated October 4, 2023 of the Prime Minister on calling citizens to join the army in 2024 and Decision No. 5228/QD-BQP dated October 20, 2023 of the Minister of National Defense on assigning targets for recruiting citizens to join the army in 2024, in 2024, Thanh Hoa province was assigned the target of selecting and calling 3,650 citizens to join the Army; 441 citizens to join the Police. Based on the instructions of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff of Military Region 4, and the plan of the Provincial Military Service Council on the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2024, the military agencies of 27 districts, towns, and cities in the province have proactively coordinated with agencies, departments, branches, and organizations to promptly advise the Party Committee to issue leadership resolutions, the People's Committee to issue decisions to assign quotas, issue plans to select and call citizens to join the army; and to perfect the Military Service Councils in accordance with regulations. Implementing the policy of "round-the-clock" military recruitment from the locality, the Party Committee and local authorities, the Military Service Councils at all levels have proactively developed plans, conducted reviews, and re-examined the source of citizens of military age.

Along with organizing citizens to register for military service examination in accordance with regulations, localities also strictly manage the number of citizens ready to join the army, especially those who are working far away or studying at universities, colleges and intermediate schools across the country. With the motto "Recruiting the right person", localities from communes, wards, towns to districts, towns and cities have organized preliminary selection, examination, review of records and call citizens to join the army to ensure strictness, publicity, democracy, fairness and compliance with the law. Accordingly, the whole province has selected and finalized the number of citizens to be called for military service in 2024 at 3,842 citizens. Of which, the official number is 3,655 citizens; the reserve number is 186 citizens. The number of citizens who passed the military service exam will join 14 units of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 4. In addition, localities in the province have selected 441 citizens to join the army in units of the Ministry of Public Security and Thanh Hoa Provincial Police. Up to this point, all stages of military recruitment in localities have been basically completed with improved quality. At the same time, the local Military Command also assigned officers in charge of the area to regularly monitor and closely manage the number of citizens who have received the call-up order.

Believing that, with the careful preparation of the Party Committees, the Party and the government in the province, along with the encouragement of their families, relatives, and the trust and love of the people, the outstanding youth of Thanh Hoa will firmly set out on their journey, continue to promote the tradition of the heroic homeland of Thanh Hoa, and excellently complete the assigned tasks.
