This morning, August 21, domestic gold price increased by 600,000 VND/tael, surpassing 125 million VND/tael, reaching the highest level ever.

This development comes from the international market. Last night's trading session, gold price increased 0.9% to 3,344.37 USD/ounce in the context of the decrease in USD price.

At 8:30 this morning, the gold price was trading at 3,342.3 USD/ounce, 19.3 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price. This difference decreased by 400,000 VND/tael compared to the same time the previous day.

In the domestic market, opening, Phu Quy Group listed the price of gold rings at 117 million VND/tael (buy) - 120 million VND/tael (sell), 300,000 VND/tael higher each way compared to the end of August 20.

Saigon Jewelry Company Limited set the price at 117.3 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.8 million VND/tael (sell), up 500,000 VND/tael each way.

Notably, with SJC gold bars, gold trading enterprises increased by 600,000 VND/tael each way, to 124.4 million VND/tael (buy) - 125.4 million VND/tael (sell). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars has broken the old peak of 125 million VND/tael to set a new record of 125.4 million VND/tael.

Previously, yesterday, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 200,000 VND/tael each way, slipping below the 125 million VND/tael mark; the price of gold rings in some places decreased by a similar amount, and in others remained the same.
