This year's tournament has 64 pairs of oxen from Tri Ton, Ba Chuc, O Lam, Co To, Vinh Gia, An Cu, Nui Cam, Giang Thanh communes and Chi Lang and Tinh Bien wards. The pairs of oxen will compete in a single elimination format, with the winning pair moving on to the next round. The organizing committee will award prizes including: 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 1 third prize, 1 fourth prize, 4 consolation prizes and the "Excellent ox driver" prize, with trophies, flags, gifts and cash.
The Bay Nui bull racing has long been a unique traditional festival of the Khmer people, associated with the Sene Dolta Festival. This is not only a vibrant cultural and sports activity, but also contributes to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity, strengthening the great national unity; at the same time, promoting the image of the Bay Nui land to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.
Previously, the 11th Ro Pagoda Traditional Bull Racing Festival in 2025, to celebrate the Sene Dolta Festival, attracted 32 pairs of bulls and about 8,000 - 10,000 spectators. This success further created an exciting atmosphere, leading up to the biggest bull racing festival of the year in Tri Ton.
