After Tet, the landlord was shocked when he opened the young man's room door.

On February 19, a clip appeared on social media recording a scene of a rented room filled with trash, making netizens feel disgusted.

Mr. Duy Phat, owner of the clip, said the incident happened after the Lunar New Year 2024, at his boarding house in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Mr. Phat, the tenant is a young man who has rented the apartment here for more than 5 years. For many years, this person used to be a student, had a clean appearance and always paid the room rent in full via an online application. Therefore, during the time this person stayed, Mr. Phat did not come to check the room.

However, after the 2024 Lunar New Year, when Mr. Phat saw that the young man had not paid 2 months' rent, he went to check and was shocked to find the room filled with trash and a foul smell.

"As soon as I entered, I was shocked and gasped. I didn't expect that someone would actually leave trash all over the room like that," Mr. Phat shared.

He immediately called the cleaning staff to come and fix it. It took 2 hours for the staff to finish cleaning and return the room clean.

"The tenant begged me to continue living here, but I refused. I've been renting out the place for many years, and this is the first time I've witnessed such an indescribable scene. This guy even lives near the girls' room. I don't understand why he's so inconsiderate," the landlord said in frustration.

Mr. Phat posted a clip recording the above image and received hundreds of thousands of views and tens of thousands of interactions.

Many people share that renting out rooms is not an easy job. Because the rooming house is a place where many people live, the landlord must be very alert and vigilant to manage and maintain security.
