Information from the People's Committee of Can Tho City on October 2 said that the People's Committee of the City has just had a plan to train and foster cadres, civil servants and public employees in 2025.
The training and fostering plan aims to enhance knowledge, skills and expertise for new commune-level officials and civil servants after the two-level local government comes into operation, focusing on modern administrative management content, digital knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of operating two-level local government.
Regarding domestic training and development, civil servants and public employees sent for training must be subject to training planning according to the training plan of the agency, unit, and training major appropriate to the job position, linked to the human resource development orientation of the locality and city.
The city will prioritize training human resources in the fields of science and technology, information technology, digital economy , logistics, processing industry, high-tech agriculture, education and training, specialized healthcare, construction, architecture, urban transport, trade, culture, arts, resources and environment, and digital transformation.
Regarding training and development abroad, it will be carried out according to programs and projects approved by competent authorities; officials, civil servants and public employees are encouraged to receive postgraduate training according to programs and full scholarships of foreign training institutions.
Regarding training and development content abroad: will foster knowledge, skills, experience in human resource management, policy planning, administrative organization and international integration, foreign language training programs, vocational skills training, technology application and transfer, and digital transformation.
Can Tho City People's Committee requests the People's Committees of communes and wards to create favorable conditions and send cadres, civil servants and public employees to attend training courses opened by city departments and branches; decide to send cadres, civil servants and public employees to participate in recruitment and postgraduate study (including self-funding) for the targets approved in the training plan.
