Through practical volunteer activities and participation in community health care, Shinhan Life Vietnam strives to fulfill its social responsibility and spread positive and humane values to the community.
Support children with leukemia
Accompanying children on their journey to fight leukemia being treated at the City Children's Hospital for the past 3 years, up to now, Shinhan Life Vietnam's charity program has sent love to the children with a total amount of hospital fees sponsored by 600,000,000 VND. Behind that amount of money are 45 children in difficult circumstances who have received timely hospital fee support so that they can be treated at the right time, continuing their dreams of a bright future ahead.
In addition, Shinhan Life Vietnam also encourages the families of sick children through visits and gift giving at the hospital on holidays and Tet. Hundreds of gifts were given by Shinhan Life leaders and staff to the families of sick children, with a warm heart of sharing, which has partly given strength to the parents in the fight against their children's serious illness.
Over the past 3 years, the program has also donated thousands of meals to children and their families at Children's Hospital 1, 2 and City Children's Hospital. Despite his busy schedule, at these community sharing events, Shinhan Life Vietnam General Director - Mr. Bae Seung Jun was always present and personally delivered each meal to the families of the children, with the hope that these small activities would be a source of encouragement to the families in difficult times of life.
In addition, Shinhan Life Vietnam has also given away more than 50,000 free "Shinhan - An Binh" leukemia insurance contracts, which have been deployed since the start of operations in the Vietnamese market until now, and have received many positive responses. Thousands of families across the country have received free Shinhan - An Binh insurance contracts to protect their children's future through just a few simple registration steps. According to the company representative, this "health gift" from Shinhan Life provides financial support of up to 100 million VND for children in case of leukemia diagnosis.
Promote activities for community health
“As a life insurance company from Korea, a country with a high rate of people protected by life insurance, when entering the Vietnamese market, a new country with more than 10% of the population protected by life insurance, Shinhan Life sets the ambition to improve the quality of life of its people through comprehensive insurance solutions at reasonable costs, while promoting social responsibility programs with activities for community health,” shared a representative of Shinhan Life Vietnam.
Along with Shinhan Life's own community health care initiatives such as the program accompanying cancer patients, sponsoring community medicine cabinets for SOS Children's Village Hanoi , etc., Shinhan Life also actively participates in community activities with member companies of Shinhan Financial Group in Vietnam. In particular, the annual Blood Donation program attracts enthusiastic participation from the entire company.
“We are very happy to always have the opportunity to participate in activities that contribute to spreading love and meaning such as humanitarian blood donation. In addition to business activities, Shinhan Life always maintains the implementation and promotion of social responsibility sharing activities, especially actions for community health”, Mr. Bae Seung Jun - General Director of Shinhan Life Vietnam shared.
Along with a series of actions spreading love to the community, Shinhan Life also implements long-term CSR programs, focusing on youth to build a sustainable future generation of Vietnam. With its contributions that have a positive impact on the community, Shinhan Life Vietnam was recently honored to be awarded the title of Enterprise for the Community at the 2024 CSR Enterprise Honor Ceremony.
