Sin Thau maintains the quality of education, creating momentum for development in border areas

GD&TĐ - The Party Committee of Sin Thau commune identifies education as the foundation, contributing to improving people's knowledge, developing the socio-economy, and maintaining national defense and security.

On August 15, the Party Committee of Sin Thau commune, Dien Bien province held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The political report at the Congress emphasized: Education and training continue to have many positive changes in both quality and scale, playing an important role in improving people's knowledge, creating human resources to serve socio-economic development and protecting the Fatherland's borders.

Currently, the whole commune has 7 schools with 86 classes and nearly 1,800 students; the rate of mobilizing children to go to school is high, firmly maintaining universal preschool education for 5 years old, universal primary and secondary education level 3, and eliminating illiteracy level 2. 5/7 schools meet national standards; the rate of students completing primary school and graduating from secondary school meets the resolution target. School facilities are gradually solidified, reaching nearly 75% of solid classrooms; 100% of managers and teachers are trained in applying AI in teaching and school management.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Sin Thau commune sets a goal of maintaining and improving the quality of education, striving for 100% of schools to meet national standards, 100% of classrooms, public service rooms, and boarding rooms to be solidified...

Along with education, the socio-economic sector of Sin Thau has achieved many positive results: The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, the average income has reached 35 million VND/person/year; the forest coverage area has reached over 70%; social security has been ensured, the poverty rate has decreased to 39.35%. National defense and security have been maintained, national border sovereignty has been guaranteed; foreign affairs have been strengthened, especially cooperation with localities of Laos and China.

In the 2025-2030 term, Sin Thau commune aims to maintain and improve the quality of education, strive for 100% of schools to meet national standards, 100% of classrooms, public service rooms, and boarding rooms to be solidified; combine border economic development, tourism with cultural preservation; build a commune that meets new rural standards by 2030, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the westernmost border region of the Fatherland.
