The Department of Foreign Affairs organized a working delegation to mobilize foreign non-governmental aid in Hanoi.

Implementing the 2025 Plan of the Provincial People's Committee and the 2nd quarter 2025 plan of the Department on mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid (NGO). From May 14 to 16, 2025, the working delegation of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Son La province led by Mr. Nguyen Van May - Deputy Director of the Department had a working trip with a number of foreign non-governmental organizations in Hanoi.

During this working trip, the delegation visited and worked with 05 NGOs. Representatives of the organizations that welcomed and worked with the delegation included: Mr. Fred Unger - Chief Representative of the International Livestock Research Institute ( ILRI) in Asia ; Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Hang - Country Director of MSI Reproductive Choices ; Ms. Chu Thanh Hoa - Country Director of Gravity Water; Mr. Ricardo Hernandez - Chief Representative of The Centro Internacional De Agricultura Tropical (CIAT); Mr. Nguyen Quang Tan - Chief Representative of the International Center For Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF).

At the working sessions, the Working Group discussed the situation, assessed the advantages and difficulties in the province in the process of implementing foreign aid projects and requested foreign aid organizations to continue to pay attention and deploy foreign aid to Son La province in the coming time; at the same time, they also discussed and agreed on the focal point and methods of coordination in organizing the implementation of programs, projects, and non-project aid in Son La province and recommended that organizations comply with the provisions of Vietnamese law and the regulations of the province in the process of project implementation.

The delegation visited and worked with the organization The Centro Internacional De Agricultura Tropical (CIAT).

Representatives of NGOs respectfully thanked the Provincial Leaders, relevant departments and branches of Son La province for always paying attention and supporting the organizations in the past time, and highly appreciated the initiative and acknowledged the working results of the working group; committed to actively seeking foreign funding sources and identifying Son La province as a priority partner in the coming time.

The delegation came to work at the International Centre For Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) Office .

With the results achieved in mobilizing foreign aid in the past time and the results of this working trip, the Department of Foreign Affairs will continue to effectively implement programs to mobilize foreign aid to contribute to supporting people in Son La province to develop their livelihoods, improve their thinking and production capacity in the trend of increasingly deep international integration./.
