Department of Health conducts general inspection, reveals 3 unlicensed dental clinics

After a general inspection, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health discovered 3 dental clinics without operating licenses and 2 clinics providing services beyond their licenses.

On December 16, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health announced that after a general inspection, many dental clinics were found operating without a license.

Accordingly, the inspection team of the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health inspected 34 medical facilities, including 19 dental clinics and 15 retail pharmacy establishments.

Through inspection, 15 establishments were found to be in violation and fined a total of more than 300 million VND.

Of these, 12 medical facilities have many violations of regulations on medical examination and treatment activities.

Specifically, there are 3 facilities providing medical examination and treatment services without a license to operate: Kim Lux Saigon International Dental Clinic, Dala Dental Clinic, and Yan Dental Clinic.

There are 2 facilities providing medical examination and treatment services beyond the scope of expertise in their operating license: Asia Dental Clinic - Bien Ho branch and Vip International Dental Clinic.

In addition, there were 5 establishments where the practitioner responsible for technical expertise was not present at the establishment during the registered period of operation without authorizing another person, and 1 establishment used a practitioner without a medical practice certificate, along with a number of other violations.

Since then, the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health has suspended the operations of 3 facilities for 18 months: Kim Lux Saigon International Dental Clinic, Dala Dental Clinic, Yan Dental Clinic. The right to use the medical examination and treatment license for 3 months has been revoked for: Asia Dental Clinic - Bien Ho branch, Vip International Dental Clinic.

In addition, the authorities also revoked the right to use the medical practice certificate of the person in charge of the facility's professional expertise for a period of 2 months for the following facilities: Viet Phap International Dental Clinic, Asia Dental Clinic - Bien Ho branch, Vip International Dental Clinic, Minh Tue Dental Clinic, Dala Dental Clinic, Tam Anh Dental Clinic, Dai Nam Saigon Dental Clinic.

According to the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Health, in the coming time, this agency will continue to propagate and guide facilities to properly implement legal regulations on medical examination and treatment. At the same time, it will strengthen coordination with relevant agencies to manage, inspect, check and supervise organizations and individuals operating in the private medical and pharmaceutical profession in the area.

Strictly handle medical facilities operating without a license or showing signs of violations. Publicize violating facilities on mass media to increase deterrence and prevent re-offending.
