This year’s race attracted more than 100 athletes of 5 female racing boats and 5 male racing boats from villages in Dai Son commune. The racing teams participated in the peace tournament with 3 double laps; the main tournament for female boats included 4 double laps, distance of 3,000m and the official tournament for male boats included 6 double laps, distance of 5,000m.

In each race, the racing boats compete fiercely, competing with each other on every meter of water amid the cheers and encouragement of the audience. The traditional boat racing on Vu Gia River is not only a cultural beauty but also demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and strongly promotes the cultural and sports movement of the people of Dai Son commune in particular and Dai Loc district in general.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded the first prize of the peace race to Dong Cham village. In the main prize of the women's boat racing, the first prize went to Dong Cham village; the second prize went to Hoi Khach Tay village; and the third prize went to Dau Go village. In the main prize of the men's boat racing, the first prize went to Dong Cham village, the second prize went to Hoi Khach Dong village, and the third prize went to Hoi Khach Tay village.
