Currently, the water level of the Tich River is rising and is forecast to continue to rise, possibly reaching its peak tomorrow afternoon (August 27). The water is receding slowly, posing a risk of landslides and flooding along the river and low-lying areas, affecting agricultural production and people's lives.

Many roads and residential areas in the ward were deeply flooded. In particular, in Cam An alley, water flooded into houses, causing local flooding of about 10 households, with the deepest flooding being about 30-40cm, the deepest place being about more than 1m.
Immediately after receiving the information, police, military and security forces were present to assist people in evacuating people and property to a safe place, and at the same time requested Son Tay Electricity Company to cut off the power to ensure safety in the area.

On some streets, such as Thuan Nghe, Nguyen Thai Hoc, and HUD urban area, the water level also rose, causing flooding of about 0.7m deep. The authorities have set up warning posts at some points and advised people to avoid going to low-lying areas or streets with warning posts.

Chairman of Son Tay Ward People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Huong said: In the face of the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the ward has informed and advised local people when participating in traffic. Specifically: For motorcyclists, it is necessary to turn off the engine and walk through the flooded section to ensure safety. For cars, it is advisable to avoid going into areas where the water is more than half the wheel; if forced to go, keep the throttle steady, do not brake suddenly to avoid engine damage; do not let children go out when it rains heavily. For households in the affected area, proactively raise assets, move people and assets to a safe place, closely monitor announcements and warnings from the authorities to respond promptly...
The leaders of Son Tay ward also directed the functional forces to strengthen inspection of the area, promptly handle situations caused by storms and rains, and ensure the safety of people's lives and property in the area.
