Ms. Bich Huong (56 years old, living in Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) said that when she first retired, many people often asked her "Is retirement sad?". However, for her, life in retirement was like turning a new page, blooming.

Before, when she was working, Ms. Bich Huong was busy and stressed, only able to relax a little on the weekends. Because work took up most of her time, she rarely had time to do the things she liked.

Since retirement, her time has been completely hers. She has full rights to "design" her life according to her wishes and preferences. And so the "bustling" and "blossoming" days began.

Bich Huong started to sign up for two dance classes: a classical dance class and a freestyle dance class. When she was young, she watched movies and saw the main characters of the nobility dancing classical dances, she loved it! But it was only after she retired that she was able to sign up for classes.

The free dance class is taught for free by a foreigner in the park near her house. The members of the dance class are very diverse, from 20-year-old girls to 80-year-old women. Everyone in the dance class feels happy because they feel their souls are free, they can do what they like, even the dances are very... free.

Coming to this dance class, I can talk and approach young people to understand their way of thinking and trends. I can meet people my age to share and listen to their stories and meet older people to learn from their experiences.

In the morning, Ms. Huong also has a group of friends to exercise. Some days they walk, some days they jog, then they have breakfast together, chat until 9am before going home.

The group of friends who exercise in the morning all have positive energy so they have a very positive outlook on everything. On the familiar path to exercise every day, but every day the members of the group discover new and cute things.

It could be a flower tree that has bloomed many beautiful flowers, or the sky could have a unique appearance... These discoveries are all recorded in beautiful, sparkling photos taken by a woman in the group. In addition, she also has a "smokeless" group that cycles and walks together...

Among the groups, the group of "destiny sisters" that Ms. Huong is closest to is the group. This group is made up of sisters who are "destined" to meet each other and become sisters, as close as sisters in a family. If members of the group have any problems, they will share with each other and give each other advice.

Some are doctors, engineers, some are environmental PhDs, some are business people... so when talking we learn a lot from each other.

"We often advise each other on health and fashion ," Ms. Huong said. When there is a good movie, we invite each other to watch it and discuss it enthusiastically.

Besides joining groups, Ms. Huong also teaches English by herself through software so she has no time to be sad.

Age is just a number. Don't let it affect you. I love people as much as I love life. I always keep in mind that "every morning when I wake up, I have another day to love".

Bright retirement

Similarly, Ms. Cao Thanh Xuan (62 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) also said that the most "brilliant" years of her life were her retirement years. For Ms. Thanh Xuan, these days are even happier than her younger days.

Because when she was young, Ms. Xuan had to worry about many things such as studying, getting married, earning money, giving birth, raising children... "There were too many things to worry about". But when she retired, her children were all grown up, Ms. Xuan decided to live for herself, take care of herself more.

Every week she goes for facial and body treatments. She has a group of friends who have been friends since she was young, a group that does morning exercises, and she is currently taking a dancesport class with young people.

In previous years, she and her husband traveled to many countries around the world . Her husband passed away 3 years ago, so now every time she travels, she invites her friends to go with her.

"I see that taking care of myself is not for everyone else but for myself. When I see myself beautiful and dressed nicely, I feel confident, I feel happy... Life blossoms and becomes brilliant from there...", Ms. Thanh Xuan confided.

Looking at Ms. Ngo Xuan Hoa (living in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), no one would guess that she is 59 years old. She dresses like a model with bright, eye-catching colors, she always looks young and full of life.

Although retired, her life is still vibrant with plans to take care of herself, socialize with friends and study subjects she loves such as piano, drawing... Hoa's secret to always being full of life is to always think positively and always think that she is very young.

One thing that is quite important to have a happy and prosperous retirement is to be financially prepared when you start working. In addition, you should not live with your children and grandchildren. When your children get married, you should let them live separately. And you should also have your own life...
