Five years ago, 60 people gathered to establish the Trang Xa Commune Health Club to create a healthy, beneficial, organized, disciplined and orderly playground - a place where the physical and mental health of members is cherished and cared for every day.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam, Head of Trang Xa Commune Health Club, shared: The club not only helps members improve their health but is also a place to meet, chat, and share joys and sorrows in life. Thanks to regular exercise, many seniors feel their spirits are uplifted and their health has improved significantly. This is also a way for the elderly to live happily, healthily, and usefully, to help their children and grandchildren, and to contribute to the community.
Through our research, we learned that Mrs. Cam is a woman who is enthusiastic and responsible for the community, especially for the elderly. She is the one who actively promotes and mobilizes the elderly to see the meaning and benefits of physical exercise for the health of old age, contributing to improving the quality of life.
After the Club was established, it attracted more than 60 members, of which more than 40 people regularly practice every morning. The youngest person is over 50 years old, the oldest is over 80 years old. This is an encouraging number in a mountainous commune where economic conditions are still difficult, people live scattered, not concentrated, and roads are inconvenient.
However, to maintain regular physical exercise activities, the Club, divided into 4 groups according to hamlet clusters, received enthusiastic response from the people.

These exercises are flexible, help increase blood circulation, improve breathing, and maintain body flexibility. At the same time, regular exercise also helps prevent chronic diseases, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, bone and joint problems...
In particular, exercises that combine breathing and meditation also help reduce stress, anxiety, improve sleep and bring mental relaxation. Ms. Cam excitedly said: For the elderly, physical exercise is not only a way to train physical strength but also an effective method to live happily, healthily and usefully.
One of the greatest values that Trang Xa Commune Health Club brings is not only physical health but also the spirit of solidarity and sharing love. Members join the Club not only to practice but also to exchange and help each other. They join tours together to explore new lands.
Sharing about the benefits that the Club brings, Ms. Truong Kim Oanh said: Every morning when I wake up early to practice yoga, I feel much more comfortable mentally and my body is also more flexible. Not only does it help improve my health, I also feel happier because I get to meet and chat with members of the Club.
One special thing is that when the health of members of Trang Xa Commune Health Club improves, they not only maintain their own health but can also actively contribute to the development of their families and communities.
