Sony says that through settings from the included PS5 software, gamers can create up to 30 custom control profiles for the PS5 Access Controller. Gamers can also store three profiles on the Access Controller and quickly switch between them with a dedicated button, allowing them to use the appropriate control layout and function buttons for what's happening in the game.
The PS5 Access Controller's carrying case is also specially designed for disabled customers. According to the company, the convenient loops can be pulled from the left or right side, from which the case opens to reveal internal loops positioned to allow the controller to slide out easily. It has various tool compartments to organize buttons and interchangeable covers.
Sony has also equipped the PS5 Access Controller with four 3.5mm ports to help gamers connect other accessories and peripherals. This includes a PS5 Access Controller-specific adaptive gaming kit that Logitech just announced, allowing gamers to connect four additional buttons and triggers. The kit will be available in late 2024 for $80.
