The 19th Dedication Awards - 2025 has just announced the list of nominees, revealing the fierce "races" in the Vietnamese music industry last year. The organizing committee introduced 10 main music award categories, promising a Dedication season full of drama and surprises.
Tung Duong is leading the Dedication race this year with 4 "heavyweight" nominations in important categories: Album of the Year (with Multiverse) , Program of the Year (live concert Nguoi Dan Dan Hat ), Song of the Year ( Rebirth) and Male Singer of the Year.
Tung Duong continues to lead the music nominations.
Multi-talented artist Vu. also demonstrated his strong appeal with 4 nominations, competing directly with Tung Duong in many key categories. The album "The Museum of Regret" brought Vu. the nomination for Album of the Year, and the live show of the same name was also named in the category of Program of the Year . The song "Peaceful Story" helped Vu. appear in the nomination for Song of the Year and he himself was also recognized in the category of Musician of the Year.
The year 2024 marks a significant turning point in Tung Duong's career. No longer confined within familiar frameworks, this powerful singer boldly experiments, bringing works with a strong personal imprint and touching the hearts of audiences. He is not afraid to collaborate with young artists, commissioning private compositions, expressing a strong "rejuvenation" spirit at the age of 40, ready to renew himself to conquer younger audiences.
Meanwhile, Vu. continues to affirm his position as a leading independent artist with his narrative and romantic Alternative Pop/Indie Rock musical style.
Soobin and Hieuthuhai compete in the category "Male Singer of the Year".
Male Singer of the Year promises to be one of the most competitive categories. Besides Tung Duong, the nomination list also includes famous names with a large fan base such as Son Tung M-TP, Soobin, Hieuthuhai and Quoc Thien. Each artist has their own strengths, so the race becomes unpredictable.
The Female Singer of the Year category with the participation of Trang Phap, Hong Nhung, Uyen Linh, Orange and Phuong My Chi also shows the diversity of musical styles and personalities. From veteran singers like Hong Nhung, Uyen Linh to young faces with potential like Trang Phap, Orange, Phuong My Chi, this category promises to bring many interesting surprises.
"Brother Overcoming a Thousand Challenges" was nominated in the category "Program Series of the Year".
The Program Series of the Year category also reflects the diverse picture of the Vietnamese performance market last year. From popular reality TV shows such as Anh trai vu ngan cong gai, Anh trai say hi to large-scale international music festivals such as Hozo, programs combining music and entertainment elements such as Our song Viet Nam and creative music nights such as Giao lo thoi gian, this category shows the richness and vitality of music activities last year.
Regarding Sports , there are 4 categories: Sports Face of the Year, Sports Achievement of the Year, Young Sports Face of the Year and Aspiration for Contribution.
The Sports Achievement of the Year category recognizes the golden moments of Vietnamese sports in the international arena. Notably, the nomination list includes the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team winning third place at the FIVB Challenge Cup for the first time, the National Men's Football Team winning the 2024 ASEAN Cup, and the National Women's Futsal Team winning the Southeast Asian Championship.
Footballer Nguyen Xuan Son was nominated in the category of Sports Face of the Year.
The Sports Personality of the Year category honors athletes with impressive performances and outstanding contributions in the past year. The three strong candidates for this title are Le Van Cong (weightlifting), Nguyen Xuan Son (football), and Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting).
The Young Sports Face of the Year category honors promising young talents who will be the future of Vietnamese sports. The three young faces nominated are Nguyen Thi Huong (canoeing), Vo Thi My Tien (swimming), and Tran Thi Nhi Yen (athletics).
The 19th Dedication Awards Ceremony - 2025 is scheduled to take place on the evening of March 5 at the Opera House, Hanoi .
