Seas of people holding red flags with yellow stars singing revolutionary songs, long lines of young people waiting to receive tickets to political art programs... These are beautiful images we have encountered recently, showing that patriotism and national pride are rising strongly on the eve of the 80th anniversary of National Day.

The fever of "Under the glorious flag" and "Fatherland in my heart" has not yet cooled down, but the national concert "Proud to be Vietnamese," " Vietnam in me" is approaching, promising an artistic explosion and emotional outburst.

Music seems to have become a bridge connecting people's patriotism, and then multiplying that love to spread widely.

Symphony of patriotism

Over the years, most large-scale music programs have been actively organized by private businesses or artists, carrying commercial elements or the artists' personal imprint.

This year, state agencies and local governments have continuously organized "national" concerts on major national holidays, opening a new direction for the cultural industry: the open participation of management agencies, the leading role, and orientation of large-scale cultural and artistic events.

The notable common point of all these programs is that they are all deeply political, promote patriotism, honor national cultural and historical values, but still create great attraction for the public, especially young people.

On the evening of August 10, My Dinh National Stadium was dyed red with the national flag, and 50,000 people proudly sang the national anthem. In the following days, social media was still flooded with images, videos and emotional shares about the program “Fatherland in the Heart.”

This shows that political art, if properly invested in, carefully staged and effectively communicated, can completely combine artistic and ideological elements with entertainment and economic value.

According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, the national concert "Fatherland in the Heart" is not only an art program, but also a "symphony of patriotism" - where the public can live in the feeling of national pride, connecting heroic memories with the dynamic present and aspirations to reach the future.

The program also affirms the pioneering role of press agencies in creating a profound cultural and spiritual space, contributing to spreading good values in society.

From the perspective of the host of the “V Concert” program, Meritorious Artist Do Thanh Hai, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television, shared that organizing large-scale art programs is VTV’s strategic direction to participate more actively in the chain of creativity and development of the cultural industry.

The initiative of Nhan Dan Newspaper and VTV is contributing to positively inspiring other agencies, units and localities, opening up the possibility of organizing national-scale art programs, thereby contributing to creating a vibrant cultural ecosystem, creating a strong driving force for Vietnam's cultural industry.

Explaining the appeal of political programs

The success of “Fatherland in the Heart” is to recreate the historical milestones of the country associated with the image of the red flag with yellow star, the sacred symbol of patriotism and national aspiration. Each performance brings emotional musical experiences while awakening the pride of the Fatherland.

Not only music, the program also invested in performance technology: V-shaped images, big screens, brilliant fireworks... all resonate to sublimate the audience's emotions.

Present at My Dinh National Stadium on the evening of August 10, young Le Minh Ngoc said that “Fatherland in the Heart” is where patriotism and national pride converge. The effect of music multiplied and spread that spirit.

“The songs in the program are all very good, almost every song is memorized by the audience and they sing along with the singers. I think the stage is impressively staged, the music is also very well done, the familiar songs are arranged with a new, more youthful spirit,” Minh Ngoc shared.

Artist Van Thao, son of the late musician Van Cao, said that the performance of the National Anthem by tens of thousands of people at the program was a very emotional and meaningful performance. According to him, the song “Tien Quan Ca” has long been not only the National Anthem of the country, but also a symbol deeply attached to the hearts of every Vietnamese person.

He emphasized that the sacred affection that the people have for the red flag with yellow star and for the "Marching Song" is something that the world must respect and admire.

“Each audience member held a red flag with a yellow star in their hands. The resonance between music and national spirit in the choir performance at the program continued to affirm the immortal value of 'Tien Quan Ca' as a sacred symbol connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts,” artist Van Thao expressed.

Sharing with reporters from VietnamPlus Electronic Newspaper, musician Nguyen Van Chung said that the openness of state management agencies creates conditions for political music to spread in life, skillfully combining propaganda messages with performing arts events to create a glue that connects people.

Explaining the appeal of political art programs, musician Nguyen Van Chung said that in the past, performance events often took place in solemn halls with a small number of guests, but now, national concerts are held outdoors with a capacity of tens of thousands of spectators, making political messages softer and closer to young people.

“The organizers have also boldly invested in bringing performance technology into the program, making the political art programs also have catchy songs, approaching the world concert. That is the condition for all people to express their national pride,” the musician expressed his opinion.

Media expert Le Quoc Vinh, Chairman of Le Bros, said that the success of the art programs shows that young people are always full of patriotism. Young people are burning with pride in being Vietnamese.

“No need for lectures, no need for dry theoretical stuffing. Just let the music speak, with a majestic yet youthful, lively, inspiring atmosphere. Political communication in the social media era, the era of Gen Z is like that. Give them real experiences, immerse them in interactive activities, dialogue with them, and let them truly participate in communication programs and campaigns. Patriotism does not need to be forced. Patriotism just needs a chance to burn. Because for each person, the Fatherland is always in the heart,” Mr. Le Quoc Vinh expressed./.
