Match between TKSVN Club (red) and TP.HCM Club 1
In the 4th round of the 2023 women's national championship, Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi's Ho Chi Minh City 1 Club met Vietnam Minerals at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center ( Hanoi ). In the 44th minute, Hong Nhung took a corner kick for Cu Thi Huynh Nhu to run in and shoot in the air, bringing the opening goal for Ho Chi Minh City 1 Club.
In the 88th minute, the referee team headed by referee Vu Van Dien and assistants Nguyen Chau Vuong, Nguyen Thi Kim Tuyen, and Le Thi Thanh Mai determined that Cu Thi Huynh Nhu had fouled Nguyen Thi Thuy in the penalty area.
The players of Ho Chi Minh City 1 Club disagreed with this decision, causing the match to be interrupted for a few minutes. Then, on the 11m mark, Duong Thi Van could not defeat goalkeeper Kim Thanh, helping Ho Chi Minh City 1 Club maintain the minimal victory and the top position of the national women's championship after round 4.
On November 27, the VFF Disciplinary Board decided to discipline head coach of Ho Chi Minh City Club 1 Doan Thi Kim Chi with 2.5 million VND and suspend her from the next two matches in the national football tournament managed by VFF due to her behavior causing the match to be temporarily interrupted.
After that, the Organizing Committee of the Women's National Championship also issued Notice No. 2 on the implementation of the VFF's disciplinary decision. Accordingly, Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi will not be on duty in the 5th and 6th matches of the 2023 Women's National Championship.
By the morning of November 28, Coach Doan Thi Kim Chi had sent a complaint to the Organizing Committee of the Women's National Championship and the VFF Disciplinary Board. "In the 87th minute of the match, when the referee blew the penalty for the Vietnam Coal and Minerals team, I noticed that the players of the Ho Chi Minh City 1 team reacted strongly to the main referee and during the match, many situations that the referee team considered to be disadvantageous and inhibited the fighting spirit of the players of the Ho Chi Minh City 1 women's football team.
Complaint form shared by coach Kim Chi on Facebook
Personally, I do not want the conflict between players of the two teams to happen like in 2018 at Thong Nhat Stadium, so I need to quickly prevent and correct the players' attitudes to help them calm down and continue playing again.
Therefore, I asked the players to go to the area in front of the technical area of the HCM City 1 Club (the players were still standing on the field) to remind and encourage them to calm down and try to continue playing to avoid bad images and bad impressions.
After a quick 3-minute exchange, the HCM City 1 Club continued to enter the field to compete until the match ended successfully," according to the petition of coach Doan Thi Kim Chi requesting a review of the announcement of the National Women's Championship Organizing Committee and the VFF Disciplinary Board.
The VFF Complaints Board will review the case.
