Two fishing boats with NA license plates were detained by the Thien Cam Border Guard Station (Cam Xuyen - Ha Tinh ).

At 11:00 a.m. on July 20, while patrolling the waters of Yen Hoa commune (Cam Xuyen), the Thien Cam Border Guard Station (Ha Tinh Border Guard) discovered and detained two fishing boats that were illegally storing electric shock tools for fishing.

Accordingly, the two fishing boats NA 80218TS/05 (capacity of 320 CV) and NA 93307TS/05 (capacity of 420 CV) were controlled by Mr. Hoang Dinh Canh (born in 1980, residing in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province) and Mr. Thai Ba Can (born in 1972, residing in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district, Nghe An province).

Currently, Thien Cam Border Guard Station is completing the documents for processing according to the provisions of law.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Minh Thao - Head of Thien Cam Border Guard Station, recently, the use of electric shock to exploit aquatic resources has been quite common in Cam Xuyen sea area, so the unit has increased patrols and controls.

Since the beginning of the year, the unit has discovered 10 cases and arrested 11 fishing boats using electric trawlers.
