Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board presented 20,000 gifts to residents and tourists visiting the Mausoleum on the morning of May 19.

From early morning, the gift-giving area was ready to welcome people and tourists. Gifts included drinking water, milk and bread to support and serve people and tourists who came to visit Uncle Ho.

Ms. Nguyen Hong Minh (Bac Ninh) said that she planned to visit President Ho Chi Minh on his birthday, so the whole family was present at Ba Dinh Square early in the morning. "We are very touched by the thoughtfulness of the units," Ms. Nguyen Hong Minh expressed.

The activity of giving gifts and supporting people and tourists has been implemented by the Hanoi Department of Tourism in coordination with the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum since 2018. In 2023, the Hanoi Department of Tourism plans to give 80,000 gifts to tourists visiting Uncle Ho on major holidays such as: Southern Liberation Day, National Reunification Day (April 30); International Labor Day (May 1); President Ho Chi Minh's Birthday (May 19) and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2).

This is one of the annual events with profound humanistic significance, expressing the affection of Hanoi people towards the people of the whole country and tourists visiting the capital. At the same time, it is also an activity to promote and advertise tourist destinations, contributing to continue building the image of Hanoi as a "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive" destination to meet the development requirements in the new situation.
