Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Pak District, said on the morning of August 22 that at the Durian Festival of Krong Pak District in 2024 (from August 31 to September 2), the organizing committee will auction two durians of Ri6 and Dona varieties that have won the title of "Durian Queen".

The auction of these two durians, known as "Durian Queens", will take place at the workshop "Building and developing a sustainable durian ecosystem" on the morning of September 1.

"The auction winners will receive fresh durian to enjoy and a 24k gold-plated durian worth 50 million VND as a souvenir. The auction winnings will be used for social security work and reinvestment in farmers," said Ms. Trinh.

As planned, the 2024 Krong Pac Durian Festival with the theme "Krong Pac Durian - Development and Integration" will take place at 8:00 p.m. on August 31 at Tan An Lake Square (Phuoc An Town). The closing ceremony will be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 2.

According to statistics, in 2024, the entire Krong Pac district will have more than 8,000 hectares of durian. The durian output in 2024 is expected to reach over 92 thousand tons. Among them, there are many durian varieties with high quality and good yield such as Dona, Ri6, Musang King...
