Speeding up the completion of embankment projects

Together with investors, localities, and construction units are speeding up progress and striving to "finish" embankment projects in Tay Ninh province according to the set goals.

The project to prevent landslides along the Vam Co Tay River, Da Han Bay area is expected to be completed 2 months ahead of schedule.

The project to prevent landslides along the Vam Co Tay River, Da Han Bay area ( Long An ward) has a total investment capital of nearly 180 billion VND from the central budget, provincial budget and other legal sources. Currently, the contractor is focusing on coordinating, resolving problems arising at the construction site and "sprinting" for the project to "finish" as planned.

According to Mr. Le Van Phuong - representative of the construction unit of the project to prevent landslides along the Vam Co Tay River, Da Han Bay area, the unit is currently requiring workers and laborers to focus on working, working overtime, and speeding up the project's progress. "Every day, we arrange nearly 20 workers to work and the progress has reached more than 90% of the contract volume, some tasks are in the completion stage, expected to be 2 months ahead of schedule compared to the plan" - Mr. Le Van Phuong said.

At the project to prevent landslides and saltwater intrusion of the Vam Co Dong River (Ben Luc commune), the investor, local authorities and contractors are urgently carrying out the final tasks and stages to complete the project and hand it over for use.

Pham Van Quang, the representative of the construction unit of the project to prevent erosion and saltwater intrusion of the Dong Vam Co River, said: "To speed up the project's progress, every day, we arrange to increase equipment as well as workers and laborers. The final tasks are being carried out urgently. The goal is to complete the project about 2 months ahead of schedule."

Embankment projects are being accelerated to "reach the finish line"

It is known that the project of embankment to prevent erosion and saltwater intrusion of the Vam Co Dong River has a total investment of about 350 billion VND from the central and local budgets and other legal capital sources. When completed, the project will contribute to preventing riverbank erosion, protecting architectural, cultural works, and infrastructure along the river; proactively responding to climate change and rising sea levels for residential areas; preventing and combating saltwater intrusion; protecting residents and production, avoiding damage to property and human lives caused by riverbank erosion;...

According to information from the Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board, currently, the province is implementing 11 projects and embankment projects with a planned capital allocation for 2025 of nearly 250 billion VND. By the beginning of July 2025, the projects have disbursed more than 50% and by the end of the year, they will disburse 100% of the planned capital.

The embankment projects are closely coordinated by the local authorities, relevant units, and contractors to focus on resolving arising problems and speeding up completion. When completed, the projects will not only contribute to preventing and combating natural disasters, responding to climate change, riverbank erosion, protecting people's lives and property, but also upgrading infrastructure and urban beautification./.
